Wild at Heart Foundation at Goodwoof 2025

As Goodwoof’s Charity Partner this year, Wild at Heart Foundation celebrated dogs and raised essential funds through a vibrant weekend filled with joyful moments.
As Goodwoof’s Charity Partner this year, Wild at Heart Foundation celebrated dogs and raised essential funds through a vibrant weekend filled with joyful moments.

Set in the beautiful grounds of the Goodwood Estate in the heart of West Sussex, Goodwoof is a premium dog show that celebrates everything canine. Now in its 4th year, this year’s event paid special tribute to the beloved Dachshund, bringing together dog lovers from around the world for a weekend of fun and heartwarming moments. At the heart of the action, our bustling Wild at Heart Foundation tent welcomed thousands of visitors, providing them the opportunity to learn more about our mission to compassionately reduce the global stray and free-roaming dog population.

Global Perspectives

We were deeply honoured to be joined by our incredible partners from across the globe. Ravi Dubey from People For Animals Trust Faridabad (PFAT) in India, Gregg Tully and James Florence from Wildlife and Welfare in Ukraine, and Gillian Pultz from Maya Animal Alliance in Mexico shared powerful insights into the challenges faced by stray dogs in their countries. Their on-the-ground experiences offered a rare and moving glimpse into the realities of stray dog welfare and the critical role that community-led sterilisation and welfare efforts play in lasting change.

Heartwarming Rescue Stories at Bark & Tell

One of the most touching moments of Goodwoof was our Bark & Tell talk, where Wild at Heart Foundation adopter and professional dancer Karen Hauer spoke movingly about the joy and transformation that comes with adopting a rescue dog. Karen and Nikki also welcomed to the stage Wild at Heart Foundation adopters Joanne Hughes with Dessy, Sarah & Tim Willitts with Audrey & Margarita, Dave & Penny Arpino with Betsy, and Anna Hendry with Sadie, as well as dedicated friend of the charity May Wong with her rescues George and Lulu.

We hosted an insightful session with renowned dog behaviourist Anna Webb and dog-friendly lifestyle blogger Teresa Keohane from @TheDogVine.
