Volunteer

We’re always interested to hear from anyone who wants to help, whatever your skillset may be. Please note, as our partner shelters are all overseas, it is not possible for volunteers to assist with tasks such as dog walking. However, there are always ways you can show your support here in the UK!

1. Check our areas of greatest need
   Whether you have a particular skillset you’d like to offer the charity, or simply hoping to dedicate some free time to our cause, it’s always worth checking out which areas of need are a priority for us at the moment.
2. Fill in our volunteer form
   Tell us a little more about yourself and how you think you might be able to help us, using the form below. If we’re currently in need of support in the areas you’ve specified, a member of ur team will be in touch very soon.
   Please note, as a small charity, we’re not always able to respond to every enquiry – although we always try our best!
3. Sign up to our Volunteer Opportunities Bulletin
   Be sure to stay updated regarding all our forthcoming volunteer opportunities by signing up to our volunteer mailing list. This will ensure you receive an alert whenever both UK and overseas volunteer opportunities come up.

Behaviourists
If you are an experienced dog trainer who is willing to support our adopters integrating their new rescue dog into the family, we’d love to hear from you. You can support us by helping provide behaviourist advice and training for any problems or overcoming fears, including face-to-face support, or over the phone / Skype.

Drivers
We are always on the lookout for more drivers who are happy to pick up dogs, supplies, donations. This could be driving to short and long destinations all over the UK and potentially Europe (if willing and able).

Fostering
We are always on the look out for new fosters who are willing to care for one of our dogs in urgent need of a home. Whether it’s for a few days or a few months, fostering is an incredibly rewarding way to support the charity. Find out more here.

Fundraising
Host a fundraising event in your local community or school, or challenge yourself by taking part in a sponsored activity. Find out more about our fundraising ideas and opportunities.

Home Checking
The Wild at Heart Foundation adoption process relies on the support of our volunteer Home Checkers, and we are so grateful for the dedication and effort they gift our charity. If you’re interested in becoming a Home Checker, and think you can provide regular to semi-regular support, we’d love to hear from you!

Marketing & Design Services
We’d love to hear from you if you’re able to offer your service to our marketing team to support with activities including: photography and videography; paid digital advertising; graphic design.

Printing
If you run a printing organisation and are able to offer your services free / at cost, we’d be incredibly grateful for your generous support in helping us produce an updated suite of marketing materials.
