We champion compassion and collaboration; we believe that there is a power in kindness and community and that by working together towards a common goal, we can help make the world a better, kinder place. As we celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day, we want to explore 5 ways to support our work and the lives of stray dogs that you can do today.
Donating to our mission is one of the most impactful ways to support stray dogs. Founded by the passionate animal advocate Nikki Tibbles, we are dedicated to helping stray dogs from around the world. Your donation can help provide essential resources such as food, shelter, medical care, rehabilitation and sterilisations for these vulnerable animals. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps make a difference in the lives of these dogs.
Another meaningful way to show kindness to stray dogs is by volunteering your time and skills. Many animal shelters and rescue organisations rely on volunteers to help with crucial tasks around the business. This can include dog walking, cleaning kennels, grooming, and socialising. By volunteering, you not only provide much-needed assistance to these organisations but also offer love and companionship to the dogs awaiting their forever homes.
Show the ultimate act of kindness by sponsoring a dog. Providing monthly support will supply vital help to our global project partners, which will ensure that abandoned, unwanted, and vulnerable stray dogs all over the world receive the care that they deserve. Your generosity will allow the facilitation of vaccinations and sterilisation and provide crucial veterinary care and food for those dogs who aren’t fortunate enough to have a home of their own.

Our findings have led us to understand that there is a gap in pet foodbank support in London and the south of England. Pet food isn’t always listed to foodbank clients as being available; some people can also be reluctant to ask for help to feed their pets and instead share their human food allocation with them. You can help those dogs in need by purchasing dog food items from our Amazon Wish List, for direct delivery to the Norwood and Brixton foodbank warehouse. A UK pet foodbank Gift of Giving is also the perfect way to help those in crisis, helping to ensure that no pets go hungry and can remain in their loving homes.
The power of community is so important! When you engage with our page, you create ripples of change that make a huge impact. Every like, comment and share, spreads our mission and amplifies our impact. Sharing our work with your network helps raise awareness about stray dogs and animal welfare. You also become a Wild at Heart Foundation champion and we are so happy to have you on board.
This Random Acts of Kindness Day, let’s spread love and compassion to our four-legged friends in need. Whether through donations, volunteering, sponsoring, supporting UK food banks, or simply spreading awareness, every act of kindness has the power to make the world a better place for these animals.
Your compassion and empathy make a world of difference to these animals who often have known only hardship and neglect. Together, we can make a difference and help give stray dogs the second chance they deserve.
