Wild at Heart Foundation 2023 Achievements

As we bid farewell to 2023 and eagerly step into the new year, we are thrilled to reflect on the remarkable achievements we’ve made throughout the year. Thanks to the unwavering support of our incredible community and the dedicated efforts of our global project partners, we have made a significant impact on the lives of stray dogs worldwide. Join us as we shine a light on our achievements and look forward to a brighter future in 2024! 

Sterilisation Success 

One of the pillars of our mission is to compassionately reduce the stray dog population. In 2023, we proudly supported 5 project partners who collectively conducted an impressive 2,636 sterilisations. This incredible effort brings our total to a staggering 30,211 sterilisations since our inception. Each procedure aims to reduce overpopulation in the stray dog community, ensuring no dog lives on the street.

Disease Prevention 

The threat of preventable illnesses looms over many stray dogs, posing a significant risk to their health and their communities. Across 3 impactful projects, we helped administer 2,329 rabies vaccinations. By mitigating the risk of rabies and other diseases, we are ensuring that defenceless dogs do not suffer from preventable illnesses, thereby fostering safer environments for both humans and animals.

 Financial Welfare Support: 

Harsh environments, cruelty and disease create additional hardships for the shelters we support. Across 9 projects, we provided essential financial support and ensured the dogs in their care received everything they needed. This support addressed issues related to nutrition, shelter and medical emergencies and provided additional support for those dogs in special circumstances. By addressing these core issues, we are helping shelters to never turn away any dog in need and ensure they are always equipped to care for them.

Here’s to Another Year of Change 

Whilst we celebrate our achievements from 2023, we’re fueled by the belief that together we can make a lasting impact. Moreover, the successes from last year are a testament to what can be achieved when individuals, organisations and communities unite for a common cause.
