Brave gentle boy
Ronaldo was abandoned in a small village, likely given up by a previous owner. With his presence on the street seen as an inconvenience, Ronaldo was sadly the victim of an air rifle attack. Sadly, this is an all too common occurrence for lots of stray animals left fending for themselves and Ronaldo is very lucky to have escaped a worse fate. After this heartbreaking incident, Ronaldo was taken in to a foster home before arriving at our partner shelter – who were without a doubt on hand to give Ronaldo his second chance. He is now on the way to making a full recovery from his injury and safely awaiting his happily ever after.
Given his terrifying circumstances before arriving at our partner shelter, it is no wonder that Ronaldo was a little frightened to be rescued. With plenty of patience and understanding, the volunteers were able to get Ronaldo on side and within very little time at all, he has proudly turned into the shelters golden boy! Ronaldo is a dream to have around with his incredibly sweet nature and gentle personality. A big softie at heart, Ronaldo loves nothing more than lots of fuss from anyone that is lucky enough to be in his charming company.
There is one place Ronaldo can’t get enough of and that is none other than his very cosy bed. A self confessed lazy bones and with his love of his very precious bed, Ronaldo will be sure to seek out the home comforts to come in his very own home. Ronaldo is a smart boy and has already taken well to walking on lead. He also has quite the appetite for plenty of treats so with these in hand, training Ronaldo is bound to be a fun, bonding experience.
With his very gentle nature, Ronaldo is a brilliant kind friend to all of the other dogs at the shelter, be them old, young or just a tiny puppy – what a popular boy! We are sure he wouldn’t mind a resident dog for a playmate in his new home but likely so, he would have no complaints with the attention all to himself either.
Ronaldo is not yet tested with cats or children, we will be watching to see how his personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
Ronaldo has had a very unfair start to his life and asks for nothing in return other than a safe and welcoming home to call his own. We think Ronaldo is going to make his new adopters feel very loved and we can’t wait to give him the ending he very much deserves.
Please note, Ronaldo won’t be ready to travel to the UK until at least the end of January. As a result, we will not be reviewing applications until the New Year, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Ronaldo as soon as possible!
