Ralou and her siblings were found alone in Greece at around 1 month old and were previously living in a foster home in Greece for the last two months but they are now residing in our partner shelter. Now they are safe & healthy, they’re ready to embark on their freedom journey to their forever homes, which we can’t wait to find for them!

Ralou is a very independent & brave girl that enjoys exploring! Ralou hadn’t had much socialisation outside of her foster home & she was nervous when seeing the neighbours in adjoining properties. She is becoming more confident each day & was learning to trust the neighbours but she will need continued training to help build her confidence around strangers & new experiences.

When Ralou was in her foster home she was living with other adult dogs and mixed well with them, even enjoying a bit of puppy play time! Some of the resident dogs were at least double her current size and she grew confident mixing with them, however she could initially be wary of strange & bigger dogs. As Ralou gets on well with other dogs, we are able to consider homes with other, friendly & gentle resident dogs that can help lead the way for Ralou.

Ralou has also had some socialisation with cats but she is particularly interested in them & likes to chase them up the tree in the garden, fondly staring at them from the floor! For this reason, we won’t be considering homes with cats as Ralou is unlikely to gel well with feline friends.

Ralou has had some basic collar & lead training but the pups do not go for regular walks to build up this training, so lots more puppy training will be needed! She is also an energetic pup who would benefit from adopters who are mostly at home & who are looking for an active dog who can join in on big walks with them, when old enough and ready!

Due to the rural area Ralou has been exposed to & her more nervous nature when meeting strangers, we will only be considering quiet homes in at least a semi-rural area. She has not been tested with children so we will be watching how her personality develops & considering homes with older, dog savvy children on a case by case basis.

Please note, Ralou won’t be travelling until at least the end of May. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Ralou as soon as possible!
