More belly rubs!
The lovely Ryan was sheltering under a trailer when he was found and thankfully taken in to our partner shelter. We do not know much about Ryan’s life before he came into shelter care, but we are so glad that this darling boy is finally one step closer to finding his very own special home.
Ryan is an incredibly gentle and calm boy. He is very good with people and is always asking for lots more tummy rubs and cuddles! He loves his walks and is sure to enjoy plenty of adventures with his humans by his side. Ryan can find shelter life a little overwhelming at times, so we would love to find him a home where he can kick back, relax and settle into the pleasures of family life.
Ryan can be a little nervous when around some of the other dogs, particularly when there is lots of activity and barking going on! He generally gets on well with dogs and he doesn’t show any signs of aggression in this scenario, but we think Ryan would prefer to be the only dog in his new home or potentially somewhere with a resident dog that is calm and guiding to help Ryan on his way to building more confidence. Although perhaps a little wary of cats, he is not showing too much interest. However he doesn’t have regular exposure to them. Homes with a resident confident cat could be considered, so long as the cat has experience living with a dog previously & adopters are prepared for the integration period.
Ryan is certainly ready for a quiet life, where he can relish the joys of snuggling up in a cosy warm spot at the end of the day. We will be looking to place Ryan in at least a semi-rural home, where he won’t have to worry about any triggering urban noises. He would love to bond with adopters that are patient and understanding of his current timid nature. With this in mind, we will not be considering homes with young children.
When Ryan was discovered he had some superficial wounds on his paws, which are still visible on him, but Ryan is fighting fit ready to bound into a very loving home. We have no doubt that given the love and support he needs, Ryan will continue to blossom everyday.
Please note, Ryan will be available to travel in February. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Ryan as soon as possible!

Shy sweet soul
Meet beautiful Olive, who arrived in the UK from Bahrain last month. She was originally found wandering the streets of Bahrain & was picked up by our partner shelter who cared for her until she came to the UK. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, her adopter has come to the difficult decision that Olive needs a different home in order to thrive, & as such we are now hoping to find Olive the perfect forever home.
Olive is a sweet, affectionate dog, who bonded with her owner instantly. She loves cuddles and scratches & being close to her owner, but is also happy to spend time in her crate, & sleeps the whole night through. She’s really taken to stuffed toys and tug ropes & loves to play with these with her human.
Olive has already learnt to recall to her name and loves to spend time off lead in a safe enclosed space doing zoomies! She knows basic commands as well as being housetrained. This has all be relatively easy to teach due to her love of food; she’ll pretty much do anything for a chicken snack or some peanut butter. It is important to note that a change in environment can cause a dog to regress so adopters should expect to start from scratch with any training.
Since being in a home Olive has met a few dogs but she is generally quite nervous & uninterested in them & does not wish to play. When meeting dogs out on walks she will shy away & chooses not to interact. She has been reactive to a neighbours dog when she feels her space has been invaded, & for this reason we are looking for a home without another dog.
Olive is very nervous of new people, especially men & does not wished to be touched by them. However, if they have some tasty treats to hand she will take this, but remains cautious. She is going to need lots of positive reinforcement training around people, with owners who won’t force her into situations. If she is given time & space we believe she will come around and allow attention from other people as long as it’s on her terms.
Olive also struggles with loud noises or unknown environments. She will bark at unknown sounds & become nervous when out walking if she is unsure of the situation. With lots of positive encouragement she will come around but this does take time. As such Olive needs an adult only, rural home with a nice garden in which she feels secure. She does tend to bark at cows and horses so adopters will need to manage this behaviour & be wary when walking in countryside near livestock.
Olive is looking for someone who can understand her needs & give her time to build up her confidence. We are considering foster homes as well as adoption for Olive so do get in touch either way!
Olive originally came from Bahrain but is now living in South West England– visits can be arranged for serious adopters. Please note, the UK adoption fee will apply.

Needs some guidance!
Meet handsome Indy, who was adopted from Lesvos earlier this year. After a lot of deliberation, his owners arrived at the difficult decision that Indy needs a different home in order to thrive. He has been in foster for the last 2 months, coming on leaps and bounds and is now ready to find his forever home after a difficult start.
Indy is a sweet boy with bundles of energy. He loves to run and walk in the great outdoors, benefiting from lots of exercise, and would make a great running companion if you’re up for it! He is eager to please and is very food motivated but does get easily distracted by the goings on of the world. He therefore needs a lot of structure and guidance, to keep him engaged and entertained.
Indy is desperate to play, especially with other dogs, initiating this with a big bouncy play bow. He can become hyper and over the top in play, and this combined with his size has meant he has been told off by the other dogs in his foster home. Over time he has learnt to read these signals given by the other dogs and will back off when told. Whilst he loves the company of dogs we think it would be best for Indy to be the only dog in the home due to this over the top behaviour, and instead, spend lots of time socialising at day care or with a dog walker, where he can be supervised in his interactions but still gain the play he so desperately craves (unless of course you have a dog that matches Indy’s exceptional energy and desire to play)!
Prior to his UK home, Indy had never been inside a house. He was therefore very nervous in his first home, afraid of doorways and halls, and took comfort in his crate, refusing to venture out. With time and lots of positive reinforcement, Indy’s confidence did grow both inside and outside the home, but he is still unsure of unknown situations and people. He gets spooked easily and reacts to unfamiliar noises by barking and pacing, and is nervous of people outside the home. His natural instinct is to run away, but if he is unable to do this he will react to tell people he is afraid of. With proper, slow, calm introductions Indy soon settles and will make friends, but prefers if you let him come and sniff you first rather than someone actively showing him attention. Because of this, we are looking for a quiet, rural, adult only home where Indy will be given the opportunity to thrive.
Another very obvious trigger for Indy was the TV, which made him very unsettled in his first home and would lead to him mouthing his adopters. However, since being in a foster home, Indy has realised that actually watching TV can be great fun, and even has his favourite film ‘Pets’, which he watches frequently! It’s very important for adopters to understand that Indy will need a long settling in period whilst he adjusts to his new home with lots of structure and reward based training, allowing him to trust he is safe in his new surroundings.
As mentioned, Indy has been crate trained and takes comfort in this space. He is happy to be left alone and will chill out in his crate in the evenings after a non stop day of play and fun. It’s important to stress that he needs a very active lifestyle in order to burn off his energy, otherwise it’s likely he will become unsettled and destructive.
Indy is very loyal once he knows you and when out walking with him he constantly checks in to make sure all is well. Providing he’s had his daily dose of exercise he will happily settle at your feet, or follow you around making sure you’re never without company. He loves a cuddle and belly rub, often pawing you for more.
We are looking for a very special home for Indy, with owners who have lots of patience & experience. He is going to need a very structured life with guidance and daily positive training sessions in order to be happy in his new home. We can’t wait to finally find Indy his forever home that he’s been waiting so patiently for.
Indy originally came from Lesvos but is now living in the UK – visits can be arranged for serious adopters. Please note, the UK adoption fee will apply.

Time to explore
Meet sweet Lady, who was rescued from one of our partner shelters spay and neuter clinics, along with her siblings after their mother needed an emergency cesarean. They were all taken into the shelter who have been caring for them ever since. They are now old enough to spread their wings and take their freedom flight here to the UK.
Lady is a happy go lucky dog who takes shelter life in her stride. She is super inquisitive, and loves to explore new places, & meet new dogs! She makes friends with dogs very easily and enjoys some rough and tumble play with her siblings and other smaller dogs in the shelter. As such, we think Lady would love a doggy sibling to share her home with, so we will definitely be considering homes with other dogs.
Whilst Lady has bundles of energy, she loves a good cuddle and long snooze after the excitement of playing and exploring. She is friends with everyone she’s met at the shelter and has mixed well with children, so we will consider homes with sensible, calm children.
Similar to her siblings Lady loves her food, which will come in handy when training her. Whilst she’s had some basic training at the shelter, prospective adopters will need to continue with this once she arrives in the UK, ensuring she is taught some good doggy manners.
Our partner shelter in Thailand is situated in a very remote area, surrounded by lush green forest, so the dogs are very used to having plenty of space to roam. As such we are only considering at least semi-rural homes for Cookie.
Lady is full of character, and desperate to get involved in whatever she can. She is going to make a wonderful companion and we can’t wait to find her a forever home.
Please note, Lady will be available travel at the end February. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Lady as soon as possible!

Meet lovely Cookie, who was rescued from one of our partner shelters spay and neuter clinics, along with her siblings, after their mother needed an emergency cesarean. They were all taken into the shelter who have been caring for them ever since. They are now old enough to spread their wings and take their freedom flight here to the UK.
Cookie is a sweet natured girl who likes to take life easy. Whilst she does enjoy playing with her siblings in small doses, more often than not you can find her snoozing her days away in a quiet, shaded spot. She’s a cuddly girl, who we are sure will be desperate to get snuggled up after a nice walk. She’s been introduced to children at the shelter and mixed well, so we will consider homes with sensible, calm children.
Cookie loves her food, so much that she can be a little protective of it around her siblings, so we are therefore looking for a home without another dog to avoid any confrontation here. She has never shown any guarding around humans before and is more than happy to take treats from your hand – this will come in handy when training her up!
Whilst Cookie enjoys a cuddle, she is very sensitive around the base of her spine, where she had a painful in-grown hair which had to be surgically removed. It’s all healed up but she would rather stick to belly rubs than bottom scratches for now!

Handsome cheeky chap
Meet handsome Woody, who was rescued from one of our partner shelters spay and neuter clinics, along with his siblings, after their mother needed an emergency cesarean. They were all taken into the shelter who have been caring for them ever since. They are now old enough to spread their wings and take their freedom flight here to the UK.
Woody is tonnes of fun & has a cheeky side. He’s the biggest of the litter and he certainly knows it, with a tendency to play a little more rough than the others. He can get carried away but will listen when told to stop. With larger male dogs his play turns a little too boisterous at times, so we a looking for adopters who are prepared to do some further training with him and teach him some better doggy manners! Whilst Woody loves to play with other dogs, we think he would be best suited as the only dog in the home, but with lots of playmates he can socialise with outside.
Around people, Woody is a gentle giant at heart and has even been socialised with children and mixes well. Due to his bouncy nature, we will be considering homes with older dog savvy children. Woody is very foody, which is a great tool when teaching him some new tricks! He has begun to walk on a lead but he’s not the biggest fan, so careful training will be needed once he has settled into his new home. We are sure with lots of positive reinforcement he’ll soon get the hang of it and know that the lead means walkies!
Our partner shelter in Thailand is situated in a very remote area, surrounded by lush green forest, so the dogs are very used to having plenty of space to roam. As such we are only considering at least semi-rural homes for Woody.
We are looking for a home that is prepared to do lots of training when Woody arrives to set some boundaries for this bouncy boy. We are certain that with some time and patience he will settle into home life & make a wonderful companion.

Big brown eyes
The lovely Kitty was brought to our partner shelter along with her litter of four puppies. Luckily, the family were found in time so that the shelter could help Kitty take care of her newborns. Now that her puppies are old enough, they have each been getting used to life without their super mum and will soon be embarking on their journey to the UK to settle in their forever homes. We would love to find Kitty her very own happy ending, where she can can relinquish her mothering duties, put up her paws and relax in a very loving home.
Kitty is a very friendly girl who adores plenty of affection and company from the shelter volunteers. She happily accepted help from the volunteers when they were handling her pups to make sure they got all the treatment they needed. Kitty has been a brilliant mother and we think it is time for her to get all that she deserves in return. She would love a home where she can enjoy plenty of long walks and a cosy warm bed to snooze in at the end of a long day. Food and and lots of tasty treats are the way to Kitty’s heart so we also think she could respond very well to training or learning some new tricks.
Kitty can currently be unsure of other dogs, this could be because she feels protective after recently giving birth, or to do with her hormone levels after being recently spayed. Kitty may improve around other dogs once her hormones have settled although this cannot be guaranteed. Prospective adopters will need to be aware of this and support Kitty with training and managing situations when she is uncomfortable around other dogs. It would be best if Kitty were the only dog her new home, which would preferably be in a quiet and at least semi-rural area.
Kitty’s body is still adjusting after having given birth recently. Her milk is drying up and her belly is still sagging at the moment, so she isn’t looking picture perfect just yet! But of course this is only temporary until she gets into fitter shape again. She is likely to loose some pounds once she loses the baby fat and once her tummy shrinks down again.
Kitty has not been tested with cats or children. It is likely she will not suit a home with young children but we will be assessing homes on a case by case basis.
Please note, Kitty won’t be ready to travel to the UK until at least the end of January. As a result, it may take us longer to review applications as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Kitty as soon as possible!

Amber eyed beauty!
Pleased to meet you is the very lovely Hazel! She was brought to our partner shelter by the municipality pound and has now thankfully escaped the harsh realities of life on the streets. We are looking forward to finding Hazel a home that is just as special as she is!
We don’t know much about Hazel’s life before she was brought into shelter care, but she is confidently taking shelter life in her stride and it is clear to see how much she enjoys the company of the volunteers. Keen to please for as much affection as possible, Hazel will often roll over and proudly present her tummy for all the rubs it can get! Hazel would love a home where there are plenty of adventures to be had close by and after a long day of exploring, nothing will beat a cosy cuddle with her humans.
Hazel is more than just an amber eyed beauty, she is already responding to commands and walking well on the lead. She is a very smart girl and considering how much she loves a tasty treat or two, we have no doubt she will be brilliant at picking up a few more tricks along the way.
Hazel has no problem fitting in with the other dogs at the shelter and loves playing with her four legged friends! Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for her friendship with the resident cats! With this in mind, we won’t be considering homes with cats, although those with resident dogs could be considered.
To our knowledge, Hazel hasn’t had any socialisation with children so we’ll be watching how her personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
Please note, Hazel can’t travel until at least February. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Hazel as soon as possible!

Little smartie pants
Introducing Roly, one of our dog meat survivors, who was found in a filthy cage with a number of other dogs, puppies & even chickens. Our incredible partner shelter in South Korea rescued both her and her brother Poly & now it’s their turn to finally have a chance at a happy life.
Roly is a sweet, smart & sassy girl with a big personality for a small dog. She has bundles of energy & loves to run & play off lead & also enjoys hiking with her foster carer. The enjoyment she gets from chasing around & running through piles of leaves outside whilst off lead is truly wonderful, so we’d love to find her a home with a secure garden where she can continue to do this. After a big play outside she loves nothing more than a cuddle & a snooze to recharge her batteries.
Similar to her brother Roly is a very clever little pup & has learnt lots of tricks since being a foster home. She already knows sit, stay, lay down, & play dead! Roly has also been walked on a lead but is a puller so she’ll need some training in this area. It’s important to note that the long journey over to the UK can set dogs back, so it’s best to assume you are starting from scratch when he arrives.
Roly has been introduced to lots of other dogs & likes to play with those that are similar or smaller in size. It does take her time become comfortable & she is generally quite submissive especially with larger dogs or those who approach her too fast; she will bark initially & then hide. Once comfortable she loves to play & for this reason we would consider homes with a calm, older dog who can help Roly with her confidence.
Roly really enjoys the company of her humans which has lead to her having separation anxiety. She howls & cries when left alone, so we are looking for adopters who can help her manage this & have time to spend building her up to being left alone. We do believe having another dog around will also help her with this.
Roly is a timid pup and hates loud noises or fast movements. She gets nervous when going outside in unknown places and it takes time to build her confidence. For this reason we will only be considering quiet, rural homes with adopters who will give her the time she needs to blossom. She hates water, & avoids puddles & will not walk in the rain, so adopters need to be prepared for this!
Roly has had an issue with itchy skin but her allergy tests results came back negative. Since being on a special diet she has not had any issues so this will need to be continued.
We are looking for someone who can provide Roly with patience & understanding to help her overcome her fears. She had an unimaginable start to life but has been given a second chance & we cannot wait to find her a home where she can thrive.
Please note, Roly won’t be travelling until at least the end of January. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Roly as soon as possible! Please also note that the adoption fee for all South Korean dogs is £950.

A rising star
Steven was found in the middle of nowhere, sadly found with a very tight rope around his neck and with no food or water. He was eventually found by a passer-by who notified our partner shelter. Thankfully, they were able to come to the rescue and offer Steven a second chance. Steven is currently resident in a foster home and we are now looking for a special forever home that will continue to nurture Steven and his ever growing confidence.
With his big open heart, it is clear to see that Steven is slowly redefining his very cruel beginning. Steven was very frightened to begin with but with each day that passes, he is emerging out of his shell and showing off his very playful, energetic personality! Steven loves his toys and is often found chasing around a ball! With lots of puppy energy to burn off, Steven loves zooming around with his foster mates and is very fond of his four legged friends – apart from cats, as these are one furry friend Steven is not so sure of! We would love to place Steven in a home with a resident, confident dog, as he will really benefit from a friend to show him the way, we are sure he would appreciate the extra playmate!
Steven was not quite sure if he could trust humans again but since interacting with the other dogs at the shelter, he has taken their lead and is beginning to understand he is very much welcome to plenty of love and cuddles. Considering we don’t know much about Steven’s life before he was found, there is naturally a few situations which can make Steven nervous. He is unsure of loud noises and raised voices as well as people holding sticks. It will be really important for Steven to be in a quieter home without young children and with adopters who feel confident working through such issues and positively reminding Steven how far he has come.
We think Steven is best suited to a rural home, where he can enjoy the quiet bliss and continue the excellent work he has begun! Steven is worthy of so much more than his unfair start and with adopters who are willing to give him all the time he needs to continue to grow and learn, we know he will have plenty of love to offer in return!
Please note, Steven won’t be ready to travel to the UK until at least the start of February. As a result, we will not be reviewing applications until the New Year, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Steven as soon as possible!

Curious keen clever
Libby, originally known as Liberty, is from Romania and came to the UK earlier this year and is now living in a foster home. Her original owners made the difficult decision that Libby would be best suited to a new home, where she can continue to grow in a new environment.
Over the past two months in her foster home, Libby has continuously impressed her foster carer with her intelligence and curiosity! She is an explorer at heart and likes to keep her clever brain busy! Once Libby gets to know you, she has a lot of life and loyalty to give to people that she feels comfortable with. We are looking for experienced adopters who can offer her routine and patient encouragement to continue her learning.
Libby is very much still a big puppy, with lots of the energy to match! This combined with her natural independence means she will thrive when given structure. She often likes to be close and “help” with whatever you are doing, so adopters who can keep Libby busy with her own set of jobs and regular training sessions will be important for keeping her brain stimulated. Libby loves playing with puzzle toys and figuring out how she can gain a big tasty reward! As she is still a youngster, Libby is also still chewing and sometimes mouths during playing. This is something that is decreasing with her training and will need to be continued with new adopters; with lots of treats on hand and positive reminders that she is doing well, Libby is a very motivated girl.
When Libby meets new people, she can be unsure and nervous, particularly around men. When someone is approaching unexpectedly, she can also be vocal and back away. In these circumstances, Libby will need very slow introductions and space to approach in her own time. Once she has got to know you and time is spent building up her trust, Libby’s soft side is released and she proudly presents her belly for all of the tummy rubs she can get! We will be looking to place Libby in at least a semi-rural adult home, somewhere that is quieter and able to let Libby relax in her new surroundings.
Libby would thrive in a home with a resident dog. She adores meeting other dogs out on her walks and comes in to her own when she is playing, wrestling and chasing lots of new friends. It would be ideal for Libby to build up a bond with a confident, older dog who can teach her that strangers are not so scary after all.
When Libby is out on her walks she is brilliant on lead and walks calmly next to busy roads. Libby will thrive with walks in engaging areas and hopefully, as she is a very keen swimmer – somewhere with rivers! Libby loves to splash about in water whenever she can find it and isn’t afraid of getting her fur wet! She is often allowed off lead when playing with other dogs and in enclosed spaces but her re-call will still need to be included in her training sessions. Extra work on keeping Libby’s attention around squirrels & other small furries will be important as she can be distracted and does like to chase! For this reason, Libby would be best placed in a home without cats.
Libby’s favourite thing about living in her foster home is the large garden, which she regularly asks to be let out into! She enjoys sniffing and exploring but also a big snooze in the afternoon sun. As much as Libby likes to be by your side, she is also content chilling in her own space and has got used to being left for short periods of time. She can be vocal if she hears lots of noise outside but with some reassurance and a cuddle, she is learning that she is safe. Libby would like to be close by for bedtime, she contently sleeps the night away without any problems in her own bed – which is currently in her foster carers bedroom . She will often ask for a big snuggle first thing in the morning, her favourite way to start the day!
With a family who will dedicate their time to working with and understanding such a clever girl, we know they will have the pleasure of welcoming a big ball of bountiful fun and love into their lives.
Libby originally came from Romania but is now living in the UK – visits can be arranged for serious adopters. Please note, the UK adoption fee will apply.

Meet handsome Robbie, who has been at our partner shelter since he was a pup. Sadly, his mother was poisoned so Robbie along with his 5 siblings have been cared for at the shelter ever since. His three sisters have already made their way to the UK and now it’s Robbie’s turn to find happiness in his forever home.
Robbie is a shy boy with a heart of gold. He injured his face on some wire about a month ago and was moved to a different pen and since then, being in a more exposed area, he has started coming out of his shell and has made huge progress, becoming more confident with each month that goes by. He enjoys his walks with those he knows and loves his treats, something that will come in handy when teaching him to love his new home.
Robbie responds well to kindness and a gentle approach, he loves a cuddle with those he knows and is looking for a home that will spend time building up his confidence allowing him to flourish into a happy confident boy at his own pace. It is likely he will be nervous when he first arrives, as he isn’t used to life outside of the shelter, but we are sure it won’t take long for him to settle and realise how good life can be in a loving home! He has gotten on well with other dogs in the shelter, so we would consider homes with a confident resident dog, who might help guide Robbie and bring out his own confidence in the UK.
Robbie is looking for a quiet, rural home where he is given the time he needs to bloom. We are very excited to find Robbie his perfect home where he can finally relax and have his happy ever after.
Please note, Robbie can’t travel to the UK until November/December. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Robbie as soon as possible!

Waiting to Blossom
Kiwi had been living in a small remote village near the shelter but was picked up by our partner shelter when there was news she may be in danger. She was neutered by the shelter and has been living there along with her sister Daisie since she was roughly 1 years old.
Kiwi is happy soul in her little bubble in the shelter. She gets on well with other dogs, sharing her pen with her sister, so she could be rehomed with a confident dog to help guide her and bring out her own confidence.
Kiwi is always very pleased to see the people she knows in the shelter and is confident and happy when out walking with them. However, she can be hesitant of new surroundings, so it may take some time for her to adapt to walking in her new environment. She’ll need some calm encouragement and we are sure she’ll be desperate to explore her new home. Whilst Kiwi loves those she knows, she can be somewhat unsure of men. This is something that will need to be worked on with new owners, she’ll need plenty of slow introductions with lots of encouragement to let her blossom into the wonderful pup she is. Kiwi loves her treats, which will be a perfect tool when teaching her some fun new tricks and teaching her to come out of her shell.
She is a beautiful pup who simply needs some time and patience to thrive in a quiet home with a routine in place. Kiwi would like a rural home, where her prospective adopters can nurture her, allowing her to slowly bloom into the confident, happy girl she can be.
Please note, Kiwi can’t travel until November/December. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Kiwi as soon as possible!

Longing for love
Daisie was living with her sister Kiwi in a small remote village but our partner shelter got news that she was in danger, and so quickly rescued her. She was neutered by the shelter and has been living there since she was roughly 1 year old.
Daisie is loving, friendly and fairly confident within her pen and with those she knows. She is submissive towards her sister, with whom she shares a pen, as well as other dogs, so could be rehomed with another confident dog that would help lead the way and bring out her confidence.
Daisie is also happy and loving with people once she knows you, however, she can be a little timid/shy with men. This is something adopters will need to work on, providing her with gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement. Once she has been given the time to settle we think she will soon learn to love everyone around her.
She walks well on the lead and doesn’t pull, however she is slightly unsure of surroundings when leaving her pen, only ever going on short walks not too far away. It is likely walking will take some time for Daisie to adapt to once over in the UK. Her adopters will need to let her feel comfortable and happy in her surroundings over time, and eventually build up to exploring further afield.
We believe that she would flourish in confidence once in a quiet home with a routine in place. She would like to go to a rural home, with a patient & understanding owner to help her build up confidence and blossom into the sweet happy soul she is.
Please note, Daisie can’t travel until November/December. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Daisie as soon as possible!

Timid but Loving
Siena and her brother Sydney were brought to the shelter together, as part of an unwanted litter. Sadly, this is a common result in our partner countries due to the lack of sterilisation available.
With her uncertain start to life, Siena will be slow to learn about trust. She can be timid and unsure to begin with, so it will be really important for her new adopter to be patient and willing to work with her anxieties. Once she feels comfortable, Siena has proven to be a very loving and playful girl on the inside. Spending time together, playing and working on some training will be really important to help Siena grow. She is happy around children but preferably those a little older or dog savvy, to help Siena understand that she is safe.
We will be looking for a quieter home in a more rural area, as this will be best for nurturing her more gentle side. Siena could live with a resident dog, as it may help her to come out of her shell but please bear in mind her size – a bit of extra space would be appreciated! We can also consider rehoming her with her brother Sydney as they share a special bond.
Siena has not been cat tested.
We are hoping we can find a dedicated and loving owner to work with Siena and help her realise that she is finally, very much wanted.
Please note, Siena won’t be ready to travel to the UK for a few months yet as there is a backlog of dogs needing to travel from Spain. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Siena as soon as possible!

A gentle giant
Sydney was brought to the shelter as part of an unwanted litter – a common consequence due to the lack of sterilisation available for many dogs in our partner countries. However, it means we are on hand to help Sydney find the family he deserves.
A gentle soul, Sydney likes to take his time getting to know new situations. It will require some patience to work through Sydney’s nerves, so we will be looking for some experience and someone willing to give him the time to understand he is allowed to be loved. He may be slower to trust but once you have him on side, he will unleash his passion for all of your affection! Sydney is good with children but preferably those a little older with some dog experience, who can help him on his way to overcoming his fears.
Sydney arrived at the shelter with his sister Siena and we can consider rehoming them together but please bear in mind they are larger dogs, so some extra room in the house would be a good idea! If you already have a resident dog, this could be an option to help show Sydney the ropes as well! Sydney loves his play time but would also benefit from some regular training sessions, two excellent ways to spend time working together to build the bond. We will be looking for homes in a more rural setting to assist with any of his anxieties and he hasn’t been tested with cats.
With some more to learn and lots of love to share, we hope Sydney continues to flourish in his own special way alongside his new dedicated family.
Please note, Sydney won’t be ready to travel to the UK for a few months yet as there is a backlog of dogs needing to travel from Spain. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Sydney as soon as possible!

Her future's bright
Nina was rescued in Lebanon but is now living in the London area – visits can be arranged for serious adopters. Please note that Nina’s adoption fee will be £250.
Nina was hit by a car when she was just a small puppy and simply left at the side the road. It wasn’t until months later, when she was discovered by local animal shelters and taken to the vet, that they learned she’d been paralysed from the waist down; she would have been surviving by dragging her back legs behind her to move, and was covered in cuts and sores from the effort. Once she had been x-rayed and given a health check, her rescuers brought her to our partner shelter in Lebanon where she was able to recover in a safe, ethical and loving environment.
Nina’s luck changed forever when she was rescued, but it’s not been smooth sailing for her – after months of testing, and Nina’s paperwork being finalised for her big journey to the UK, civil unrest hit Beirut followed by the Covid outbreak earlier this year. Nina’s journey hasn’t been easy; rescue from Lebanon is complex, costing upwards of £1,500 as well as months of necessary vet checks and processes to follow. The unrest in Beirut has caused all kinds of logistical issues and delayed paperwork which, for Nina, has meant one heartbreaking setback after another. That’s why we made the decision to fly her over and have her pre-adoption tests and treatments completed from the safety and comfort of a boarding facility here in the UK. Seeing her happy little face arrive at Heathrow, we know we made the right choice and we’re so pleased to have honoured our commitment to her, all thanks to the WAHF community; it’s your generosity that has made this journey possible. Despite everything, Nina is finally here in the UK and we’re determined to find her the perfect home so that forever can be ready and waiting for her.
Through it all, this little warrior has remained as cheeky and as full of life as ever! She gets on well with other dogs, is trusting and loving around people of all ages, and has a heart of gold. Nina means both “little girl” and “mighty warrior”, and we can’t think of a more apt title!
Despite only having two fully working legs, Nina will mow you down in her wheelchair if you don’t move out of the way! She’s full of character, exuberance and mostly prefers to be rolling around getting into mischief and playing. The way to get Nina to relax or sit still is by stroking her – she’ll lay with you for hours on end if you tickle her tummy. She gets very attached to people, very quickly and could develop some separation anxiety if separation training isn’t started immediately after adoption.
Nina is a high energy dog and would love to go to a home with another high energy, friendly and playful dog. She could happily go out with dog walkers or to daycare as she loves other dogs and is very confident already! However, Nina will need to learn manners & how to play with other dogs properly as she can wind up dogs that aren’t quite as playful and full of life.
Nina is happy-go-lucky and will try anything you throw at her, she’s even tried her paw at swimming (you can see a video of this in the first post we shared about her on our Instagram!)
Due to Nina’s spinal fracture that was never properly corrected, she lost most of the function in her rear legs. Although she has got some feeling & movement, at the moment there is no expectation of recovery or controlled movement in her hind limbs. Her rear limbs no longer bend at the hock but she has some movement in her knees and hips making wheelchair use easy. Her injuries mean that she’ll need dedicated care to help her lead a happy, comfortable life. We have sourced her a more permanent wheelchair for when in movement and a drag bag for when the wheels come off & around the home. Both will ensure that she can go for walks, and run and play with other dogs without being hampered, but her adopter will need to be able to accommodate for her disability.
Nina has some bladder control, but is also prone to accidents due to her paralysis. Whilst in boarding, she is now almost fully potty trained but she does have some accidents in the evening still. New owners may consider the use of nappy’s for the evening time. Due to her bladder issues, extra care should be taken for the skin on her rear legs to prevent urine burns as well as scuffs. Our amazing team member Kasey has a great deal of experience with helping dogs with these types of disability settle into home life and will be on hand to support the transition and provide advice and tips.
Please note, Wild at Heart Foundation are committed to covering the cost of any treatment required for her long-term wellbeing as advised by our specialist vet team – however, based on early assessments, we understand that Nina is healthy and happy despite her disability and it’s unlikely that she’ll need extensive ongoing treatment or surgery.
This girl is a special soul, and as such will need an extra special home to give her the happy ending she deserves after her traumatic start to life. If you think you can give her the love and care she deserves, we’re looking forward to hearing from you!

Loves to learn
Diego was rescued from Bosnia and adopted in 2017 but, sadly, his owners have recently arrived at the decision that Diego would be able to thrive in a different home.
Diego has a super personality and is very playful and always up for fun; he enjoys jumping through fields of long grass like a gazelle and is also a keen swimmer, enjoying surfing the waves at the beach! He loves a ball, being chased and also playing hide and seek.
Diego is extremely intelligent and picks up commands and tricks very quickly. He is an absolute dream to walk; he enjoys chasing through the woods after squirrels but also has fantastic recall and is eager to please. Diego would be best suited to a home where the owner could teach him lots of commands, keep him busy and give him ‘jobs’ to do because this is when he feels most comfortable.
Diego unfortunately has a few areas where he struggles. Around strangers, Diego will react if they try to touch him or get too close. He also struggles within enclosed spaces and dislikes sudden movements.
He also shows resource guarding behaviour and will not allow anyone to remove or play with a toy/chew. He can also become possessive of space and is known to react to other dogs that get too close.
Diego adores the company of other dogs and regularly goes on group walks with his dog walker where he never tires of playing chase. He can sometimes be wary of big, fluffy dogs but with some encouragement he soon befriends them. In regard to Diego’s resource guarding, he feels less stressed when around other dogs that are dominant because he does not feel the need to protect/guard. However, once alone again, his resource guarding behaviour becomes apparent.
Diego is very calm and relaxed whilst at home and loves to cuddle up on the sofa with his favourite people.
As Diego doesn’t cope well with busy environments or areas, he would be best suited to a home in a rural environment where his owner could work on these anxieties slowly.
Diego originally came from Bosnia but is now living in the UK – visits can be arranged for serious adopters. Please note, the UK adoption fee will apply.

Snoozing sun worshiper
Meet gentle natured Mochi, who originally found as a street pup & was the runt of her litter. Her foster carers took her in & nursed her back to health & she’s been lucky enough to be staying with them ever since. Sadly they are moving & cannot take Mochi with them, so our partner shelter in Thailand have reached out to us to help Mochi begin her new life & we can’t wait to get her settled into a wonderful home.
Mochi is a loving, quiet girl. She enjoys nothing more than lounging in the sun or curling up in one of her favourite napping spots, snoozing the day away. She is quite an independent dog & is happy to be left to do her own thing. Although she is quiet in nature, she does love playing & when really happy becomes a silly, goofy dog, however this does need be on her own terms.
Mochi has spent most of her life in a home & has picked up a few party tricks already. She is very smart & loves to learn, especially when there’s some tasty treats involved. She knows how to sit, stay, law down, paw, hug, speak & will even eat on command. As well as this, Mochi walks very well on the lead, and looks forward to her walkies everyday, getting very excited when she sees the lead. It’s important to note that whilst she is clearly a very clever girly with a few tricks under her paws, the long journey over to the UK can set dogs back, so it’s best to assume you are starting from scratch when she arrives.
When you first this meet this gorgeous girl, she can be a little shy & unsure, and she just needs some time & reassurance. She tends to keep to herself at first but will come over to new people for a sniff when she feels ready. If she feels her space has been invaded she will take herself off to a safe area until she feels more confident. Once a bond has been formed Mochi loves a good back scratch and will rub herself on you to let you know she’s ready for her doggy massage. Due to Mochi’s more nervous nature around new people, we are looking for adopters who are willing to give Mochi the time she needs to build her confidence & understands she needs her own space when she’s feeling unsure. She is very sensitive to loud noises and for this reason we will only be considering adult only homes in at least a semi-rural setting.
Mochi has lived in a home with other dogs her whole life, and tends to get on well with older calm dogs, but does have more of an intolerance to younger dogs. However, normally if there have been any quarrels, Mochi tends to be the submissive one and would only ever retaliate in defence. Out on walks she is curious of other dogs but tends to be a lot more interested in sniffing her surroundings. If a dog approaches her at speed, she can become distressed & will try and back away & hide, but she is never the aggressor. She can guard food & treats when other dogs are around, however has never displayed this behaviour towards people. As a result we believe Mochi would be happy being the only dog in the home, however would consider homes with calm, older dogs.
Mochi has a mild skin allergy which causes her to become itchy, however, it is very easily controlled by sticking to a diet involving no food colourings and only natural ingredients. She is currently being fed on Purina Super coat dog food, with no recent issues.
Mochi is a sweet natured soul who wants nothing more than a sunny spot in a garden or a cosy spot by a fire where she can feel safe & secure. With a lot of love & understanding we are certain she’s is going to make a wonderful companion, and we can’t wait to find her the perfect home.
Please note, Mochi won’t be travelling until February. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Mochi as soon as possible!

Charming gentle giant
Sebastian was sadly dumped by a main road during summer. We don’t know much about his life before this but it is likely he was given up by a family who no longer wanted him. When he was found, he was incredibly underweight and very much in need of shelter, food and plenty of love. Thankfully Sebastian was found by our partner shelter who were able to offer him all that he needed to regain his health and offer him a safe place to await a forever home.
The very noble and loyal Sebastian has a heart made of gold. We are sure he will love nothing more than a family of his own who he can watch over and snuggle up to as the day draws to a close. Sebastian has a gentleman’s charm and peacefully plays along with the other dogs at the shelter. He is also good with children but prospective adopters may want to consider Sebastian’s size, as he is a larger dog who may need a little more space in his new home!
Sebastian would love his new family to be as explorative as he is! With plenty of energy to burn off, Sebastian can go for miles with his enthusiasm for new adventures. It would be ideal for Sebastian to be in rural environment where he is close by to plenty of those engaging walks which he adores so much!
Sebastian has not been tested with cats so we will be considering homes on a case by case basis.
With a lot of love in his heart and a big gentle soul at his core, we know Sebastian is going to relish having a family he can finally call his own.
Please note, Sebastian won’t be ready to travel to the UK until at least the end of January. As a result, we will not be reviewing applications until the New Year, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Sebastian as soon as possible!

Brave gentle boy
Ronaldo was abandoned in a small village, likely given up by a previous owner. With his presence on the street seen as an inconvenience, Ronaldo was sadly the victim of an air rifle attack. Sadly, this is an all too common occurrence for lots of stray animals left fending for themselves and Ronaldo is very lucky to have escaped a worse fate. After this heartbreaking incident, Ronaldo was taken in to a foster home before arriving at our partner shelter – who were without a doubt on hand to give Ronaldo his second chance. He is now on the way to making a full recovery from his injury and safely awaiting his happily ever after.
Given his terrifying circumstances before arriving at our partner shelter, it is no wonder that Ronaldo was a little frightened to be rescued. With plenty of patience and understanding, the volunteers were able to get Ronaldo on side and within very little time at all, he has proudly turned into the shelters golden boy! Ronaldo is a dream to have around with his incredibly sweet nature and gentle personality. A big softie at heart, Ronaldo loves nothing more than lots of fuss from anyone that is lucky enough to be in his charming company.
There is one place Ronaldo can’t get enough of and that is none other than his very cosy bed. A self confessed lazy bones and with his love of his very precious bed, Ronaldo will be sure to seek out the home comforts to come in his very own home. Ronaldo is a smart boy and has already taken well to walking on lead. He also has quite the appetite for plenty of treats so with these in hand, training Ronaldo is bound to be a fun, bonding experience.
With his very gentle nature, Ronaldo is a brilliant kind friend to all of the other dogs at the shelter, be them old, young or just a tiny puppy – what a popular boy! We are sure he wouldn’t mind a resident dog for a playmate in his new home but likely so, he would have no complaints with the attention all to himself either.
Ronaldo is not yet tested with cats or children, we will be watching to see how his personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
Ronaldo has had a very unfair start to his life and asks for nothing in return other than a safe and welcoming home to call his own. We think Ronaldo is going to make his new adopters feel very loved and we can’t wait to give him the ending he very much deserves.
Please note, Ronaldo won’t be ready to travel to the UK until at least the end of January. As a result, we will not be reviewing applications until the New Year, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Ronaldo as soon as possible!

Gentle loyal affectionate
We don’t know much about Sylvie’s life before she came into foster care in Lesvos. It is likely that she had spent some time on the streets before she wandered into a cafe, owned by one of our partner shelters regular fosterers. It is almost as if Sylvie knew it was here that she could safely await her new forever home.
Sylvie is a very affectionate girl. She absolutely loves being around humans, often cosying up for lots of hugs and cuddles. Keen to take part in plenty of exploring, Sylvie likes her walks and even enjoys the car ride to a new adventure spot! After a very busy day of lots of attention and busy walks, Sylvie will love nothing more than making herself right at home on a very comfy sofa (if she is lucky!)
Sylvie does get on well with other dogs but mostly those who are little less energetic! She can also become overwhelmed if surrounded by a larger group of dogs, one or two is just fine. She does not always like to share her cuddle time or food with other four legged friends so with this in mind, she would prefer to be the only dog in her new home. We are sure she will have no problem soaking up all of the love to herself!
We would love to find Sylvie a home in a nice quiet area, as she can find loud noises and raised voices triggering. An adult only home and somewhere with plenty of peaceful walks nearby, will be the best way to help Sylvie adjust to her new life.
Sylvie gets along fine with cats.
We can’t wait to find this very loyal girl a welcoming home where she can relax to her hearts content!
Please note, Sylvie won’t be ready to travel to the UK until the end of January. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Sylvie as soon as possible!

Amazing blue eyes!
At the end of the hill nearby to our partner shelter, Vivian was found wondering the roads and dodging traffic. Thankfully she was taken out of harms way and is now in brilliant hands, safely awaiting a very special place to call home.
Vivian is very hard to miss with her beautiful blue eyes and for the joy that she spreads around the shelter. She always has a smile on her face and a wag in her tail, (unless of course it is raining, then Vivian would much rather be sheltered away!) She has a very calm and gentle nature and is proving to be a very affectionate girl.
As well as cuddling up to shelter volunteers for plenty of tummy rubs, another of Vivian’s favourite things is her treats! We are sure she would benefit from some training sessions where she can bond with her new adopters and of course, happily gobble up plenty of yummy snacks along the way!
Vivian is also a very playful girl and she can often be found tumbling around with her shelter playmate Alice. We think she would be very happy to join a home with a resident dog or with adopters who have as much energy as she does! We have no doubt this bright little spark will light up her new home in no time at all!
Vivian has not yet been tested with cats and to our knowledge, has not had any socialisation with children. With this in mind, we will consider homes on a case by case basis.
Please note, Vivian can’t travel until at least February. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Vivian as soon as possible!

Gentle little soul
Peppa was found wondering alone in a village in Lesvos. She was fortunately rescued, escaping the dangers of street life and is now awaiting her new start with a very lucky family in the UK.
Peppa is a gentle little soul, who enjoys all the small pleasures life can offer. She can be fairly timid when she first meets anyone new but with a generous portion of tummy tickles and a side of encouragement, Peppa will bravely come out of her shell. Peppa also enjoys making friends of the four legged variety and happily plays along and cuddles up next to the other cats and dogs at her foster home. She has made a particular friend in Greco, together they have bonded over being a naturally gentle, relaxed pair. Not one for material objects, Peppa is not too fussed by any toys – she would much rather soak up all the hugs she can get!
A curious girl, Peppa happily bounds along on her walks – just as long as there is not a rain drop in sight! She certainly prefers life when it is cosier and dry! Peppa would also be suited to a home in a more rural area, as she can be unsure of any loud noises. We can also consider homes with children, so long as they are gentle around dogs and will be a tender play mate for Peppa.
Families who want to welcome a sweet natured pup into their home and who can offer a little training and a lot of love will certainly give Peppa the best new start she could’ve hoped for!
Please note, Peppa won’t be ready to travel to the UK until the end of January. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Peppa as soon as possible!

Happy pocket rocket
Inna was rescued from the streets as a puppy and has known life in a home for the last few years. Her elderly owners recently passed away and so now she is back to living without the one thing she treasures most: human company. She is ready to embark on her new journey to the UK, where her next stop can be her forever haven.
Having spent time living in a home already, Inna is used to all the little pleasures that it can bring. She is a professional at napping on the sofa (and the bed!) and finds this is the best place for lots of cuddles – which she will be sure to beg you for more and more of! She adores being around people and can sometimes be a little vocal if left at first, so a family who are mostly orientated at home would make her extra happy. Please bear in mind that Inna may suffer from separation anxiety and any adopters will need to be dedicated to helping her overcome this. Another of Inna’s favourite luxuries is snacking on a delicious apple, she will certainly be content with both a cuddle and an apple a day!
Although Inna has lived in a home previously, she will likely be unsure of strangers and take some time to build up trust with her new adopters. She will also need to get used to a whole new way of life, so understanding & patient adopters will be key!
As Inna loves to run and is a little unsure of traffic, we will only be considering homes in a rural environment – somewhere a little quieter and with lots of room for her to bound around on peaceful walks! She is a playful girl and will gleefully jump for joy when she sees you! She would be suited to an active home and could potentially be rehomed with older, dog savvy children who don’t mind Inna’s energetic side.
Homes with other dogs or cats could also be considered, as she tends to get on well with them having lived with both previously.

Bouncy like Tigger!
Applications for Gracie are now closed due to unprecedented interest. If you have already sent in an application form, an adoption coordinator will reach out to suitable adopters in due course. Please allow up to 7 days for a response from our adoption team as we work through all applications and enquiries.
Here we have the very wonderful Gracie, who was brought to the shelter by the municipality pound. Now spending her days safely at our partner shelter means that Gracie is a very lucky girl, as she is now one step closer to finding her forever home in the UK!
Gracie is a very special girl who is full of joy and energy. Gracie has a very friendly soul and loves nothing more than bouncing around the shelter in search of her next play mate! She is more than happy to spend all day in the company of the other dogs at the shelter but will also be just as content where there are plenty of tummy rubs to be had from shelter volunteers. A little cheeky and full of love, we think Gracie is going to adore having humans of her own who she can play with all day and cuddle up to at night.
As she is such a bright spark, it will be hard to resist teaching Gracie a fancy trick or two! She is already learning how to walk on a lead and is showing real confidence when responding to commands. We think with extra delicious treats in hand and plenty of affection for reward, Gracie is going to be an excellent learner once in her new home.
It is likely Gracie was poorly looked after before she came to our partner shelter so her coat has suffered from matting. Despite looking sunny in Gracie’s photos, Greece suffer from some very harsh winters and for this reason Gracie cannot be clipped as it’s far too cold. Gracie will really benefit from the luxury of regular grooming in her new home and will soon be on the way to looking picture perfect with some adopters who are ready to show her some TLC.
Gracie is showing enthusiasm for most things and people that she meets. However, to our knowledge Gracie hasn’t had socialisation with children so we’ll be watching how her personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis. She has been introduced to cats and at the moment, is not showing too much interest. With slow and gradual introductions homes with confident and dog-savvy cats could be considered.
Please note, Gracie can’t travel until at least February. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Gracie as soon as possible!

I love exploring!
Moon and her sister Sky had been kept by a previous owner in her back yard. Having decided she no longer wanted the siblings, Moon and Sky have now found themselves in the caring and safe hands of our partner shelter. Here, they are now awaiting a new life where they can soon relish the comforts of a truly loving home.
The wonderful Moon is a very sweet natured girl. Gentle with everyone she meets, Moon is keen to make friends with other four legged friends and she often asks for cuddles from the volunteers with her puppy dog eyes! Moon is still adjusting to shelter life and becoming to understand that she is now safe. After her unsure start, we think Moon would really appreciate a warm and cosy home where she can finally relax in the comfiest spots that she can find!
Moon loves sniffing and exploring everything around her! With this in mind, we will be looking for at least a semi rural home that has plenty of engaging walks nearby. Somewhere with access to the country side or maybe even a beach if she is lucky! Bearing in mind Moon’s breed, it is likely that she could have a strong prey drive. Potential adopters will need to work extensively on recall and homes with cats will not be considered.
Moon has not been tested with children so we will be watching how she develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
Finally, one step closer to having a place she can call her forever home and with lots of love to give, we know that Moon will adore the company of her very own family.

Shy but curious
Alisha is one of five dogs we’re rescuing from South Korea, who were saved from meat farms earlier this year. Like Dawn and Doori, Alisha is now with a wonderful foster family in South Korea until she travels to the UK in early 2021.
Alisha had only ever lived on the meat farm prior to being rescued. As such, moving to her foster home and living with both humans and other dogs, has been quite an adjustment for her. She’s still unsure of people and does not actively seek out affection, so will need prolonged, positive-reinforcement based training and plenty of time to allow her to settle in and begin to trust her surroundings.
As such, she’s looking for an adopter who is calm, patient and has faith that Alisha can become the carefree, happy dog she deserves to be.
Alisha is currently living with two other dogs and is generally submissive with them both, allowing them to share her toys and food. It’s taken her a couple of months to begin playing, but she now enjoys the company and even cuddles with her new siblings.
We’ll be considering every application on a case-by-case basis, but it’s likely Alisha would benefit from having another dog around for companionship.
Being a sensitive soul, Alisha really likes having a safe space that is all her own, where she can retreat for some quiet time and feel secure.
As such, she’s looking for a quiet, rural home with few comings and goings, to begin with at least, so that she can really get to know her new surroundings and feel secure enough to explore.
Please note that Alisha will not be travelling until early 2021.Please also note that the adoption fee for all South Korean dogs is £950.
Doori is just 1 of several dogs we’re rescuing from the South Korean dog meat trade. We’ll be sharing more updates in the coming weeks, which will be communicated through our South Korea project page and via socials.

Keen for adventure!
Sky and her sister Moon had been kept by a previous owner in her back yard. Having decided she no longer wanted the siblings, Sky and Moon found themselves in the caring and safe hands of our partner shelter. Here, they are now awaiting a new life where they can soon relish the comforts of a truly loving home.
Sky is a very sweet and gentle girl. She loves nothing more than a scratch under her chin and a cosy place to curl up after a long day of exploring. We think Sky is going to savour all of the pleasures that a home can give and if she is lucky, she certainly wouldn’t mind her very own spot on the sofa! Sky is a friendly soul to all that she meets and also gets along well with other dogs.
We would love to give Sky a home in at least a semi rural area. Somewhere that is close to plenty of engaging walks would be ideal as due to her breed, she loves her adventures and sniffing around! She will need extensive training on her recall, as it is likely that she may have a strong prey drive. With this in mind, homes with cats will not be suited to Sky.
When Sky arrived at our partner shelter, she had an injury to her eye which had gone untreated and neglected for a long time. The shelter quickly arranged X-rays and although the cause was unknown, to save further discomfort her eye was removed. Sky is now feeling a lot better and has had no further problems – taking it all in her stride, what a little hero!
Sky has not been tested with children so we will be watching how she develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
After a very unsure beginning to her life, Sky would love nothing more than a safe place to call home. We can’t wait to find Sky her forever home – that is full of all the love she didn’t know existed.

Little Miss Sunshine
Doori is one of five dogs we’re rescuing from South Korea, who have all escaped meat farms earlier this year. Like Dawn, Doori is now with a wonderful foster family in South Korea until she travels to the UK in early 2021.
Despite the cruelty she’s witnessed at the hands of humans, Doori is still incredibly affectionate and loving. In fact, once she’s gotten to know you, she’ll even paw you for attention!
To date, Doori’s never met another dog she didn’t like! Having spent so much time around other dogs, it’s likely she’ll struggle to be alone now, which is why we’re looking for a home with another confident, friendly dog for companionship.
Due to her time on the meat farm, Doori has some nervousness of new people and new places, and has a tendency to hide or even escape. She really needs an adopter who will give her space and allow her curious nature to come through at it’s own pace.
Doori is also sensitive to loud noises, so she’s looking for a quiet, rural home.
In her current foster home, Doori prefers to play indoors rather than venture out into the garden. However, her foster family have been taking her on walks and to parks, getting her used to the outdoors and meeting new people. Doori walks well on a lead, but will need prolonged, positive-reinforcement based training to help her overcome her fears of open spaces.
With time and patience, and a fellow canine to lead the way, we have every confidence that Doori will make a rewarding, loving addition to your home.
Please note that Doori will not be travelling until early 2021. Please also note that the adoption fee for all South Korean dogs is £950.

Special little soul
Meet the lovely Barney who was found abandoned, along with his siblings by the side of the road near our partner shelter. The puppies were tiny and had very little chance of being discovered at all, let alone knowing how to fend for themselves at such a young age. It truly is a miracle that our partner shelter discovered the litter when they did. Thankfully, Barney is now in safe hands and he is finally ready to fly the nest to his new furever home!
Barney is a very special little soul who loves to be around people. He has a gentle personality and loves a big cosy cuddle from the shelter volunteers that he has come to know. He is also loves playing with the other dogs at the shelter and enjoys going on pack walks where he can burn off all his puppy energy! Barney would happily spend all day playing with his toys and romping around with his siblings. A happy chap at heart, we think Barney is going to be a very special addition to his new home.
Barney is a little more reserved than some of his siblings, so he will need plenty of encouragement from his adopters when he is in his new home. We are looking to place him in a home with a resident dog and somewhere that is a little quieter, to help him continue to shine! An excellent tool for bonding with Barney and for those important puppy training sessions, will be his adoration for all things tasty – anyone with a delicious snack in hand is sure to be his new best friend!
Barney gets along fine with cats but has not yet been tested with children, we will be watching how his puppy personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
Please note, Barney won’t be ready to travel to the UK until towards the end of January. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Barney as soon as possible!

Small but mighty
Introducing Poly, one of our dog meat survivors, who was found in a filthy cage with a number of other dogs, puppies & even chickens. Our incredible partner shelter in South Korea rescued both him and his sister Roly & now it’s their turn to finally have a chance at a happy life.
Poly may be small but he is certainly mighty & likes to rule the roost. He doesn’t let his size get in the way & has tonnes of charisma & energy. He has bursts of excitement followed by a long nap to recover from all the energy released! He’d love a big garden where he can play some tug of war & run around in as fast as he wants as he likes to go at full speed.
Similar to his sister Poly is a very clever little pup & has learnt lots of tricks since being in a foster home. He already knows sit, stay, lay down, paw & high five! Poly has also been walked on a lead but is a puller so he’ll need some training in this area. It’s important to note that the long journey over to the UK can set dogs back, so it’s best to assume you are starting from scratch when he arrives.
Poly has been introduced to lots of other dogs & he is always very interested & wanting to play. He likes to show off & even tried to outrun a collie! When out walking he will pull towards dogs & bark with excitement, so he’s going to need to be taught some manners here. He can also be a bully to his sister so we will not be looking to keep them together. On occasions where another dogs has shown aggression towards him he will bark in response whilst also showing some submissive behaviours. As such, we would consider a home with a calm older dog, who might be able to teach Poly the ropes.
Poly is unsure of unknown sounds and will bark when he hears noises outside his foster home. He uses his bark to get attention, so again he will need to be taught some manners here! He really dislikes having a bath, as well as having his ears cleaned so he will need lots of desensitisation to this process as well as positive reinforcement to show him it’s not so bad after all. Along with this Poly hates to be picked up & held under his armpits, but will be held around his belly. Due to his sound sensitivity we are only considering at least a semi-rural home for Poly.
Poly has had an issue with itchy skin but his allergy tests results came back negative. Since being on a special diet with no beef included he has not had any issues so this will need to be continued.
We are looking for someone who can provide Poly with patience & understanding to help him overcome his fears. He had an unimaginable start to life but has been given a second chance & we cannot wait to find him a home where he can thrive.
Please note, Poly won’t be travelling until at least the end of January. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Poly as soon as possible! Happy little man
Fraser who was found abandoned, along with his five siblings by the side of the road near our partner shelter. The puppies were tiny and had very little chance of being discovered at all, let alone knowing how to fend for themselves at such a young age. It truly is a miracle that our partner shelter discovered the litter when they did. Thankfully, Fraser is now in safe hands and he is finally ready to fly the nest to his new furever home!
Fraser is a very friendly soul! He has become an expert at clambering onto the shelter volunteers laps for lots of cuddles, snuggles and tummy rubs! Keen to show his affection for all that he meets, Fraser loves being around humans and with his big fluffy ears, he is very hard to resist! A gentle boy at heart and very keen to please, we are sure Fraser is going to make himself very at home amongst his new family.
A regular day in the life for Fraser includes playing with his siblings, tumbling around with his toys and scoping out the next adventure! Fraser will need some puppy training in his new home but with lots of tasty rewards, we think he is going to be a bright little spark! He is also brilliant with the other dogs and enjoys the company of both puppies and the older dogs at the shelter. He could well be suited to a home with a resident dog but we are also sure he would love plenty of attention to himself! Claus was born into a litter of 12 puppies, who are now honourably known as “The 12 pups of Christmas!” The siblings were abandoned without their mother on the streets of Bulgaria and were left to fend for themselves. Claus and his brothers and sisters have been very lucky to find themselves at our partner shelter as it now means that they can each find their very own forever home!

We are sure Holly is going to make a wonderful companion and deck the halls of her new home with a tonne of love and lots of fun!
Holly hasn’t had any socialisation with cats or children so we will be watching how her puppy personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
Please note, Holly won’t be ready to travel to the UK until at least the end of January. As a result, you may not hear from us until the New Year, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Holly as soon as possible!

More cuddles please!
When Alice was found living on the streets with her brother Woody, they were likely struggling to find food, shelter and safety. The municipality pound workers found the siblings and brought them into the safe hands of our partner shelter. Now, the lucky pair are each awaiting a special place to call home.
The angel eyed Alice has a world of love to give and is often found spreading joy with her big, beaming smile! With her very gentle personality, Alice is naturally laid back and we think she would love nothing more than a warm, cosy spot to relax to her hearts content! Keen to cuddle close for plenty of affection, Alice is most happy when she has a warm lap to snuggle into.
Alice would also love lots of engaging walks to release her energetic side! She definitely has a playful spark and with treats on hand, we think Alice will be fab at picking up some new tricks! Alice is a friendly soul and gets along well with both cats and other dogs, so we could consider homes with either.
Alice has not been tested with children so we will be watching how she develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
With adopters who have as much love to give as Alice does, we are sure she is going to make a very special house a home.

Happy friendly curious
Prince was brought along to our partner shelter with two other dogs by the municipality pound workers. Having found himself in brilliant hands, Prince is a very lucky pup ending up at the shelter, as he is now one step closer to finding his forever home!
Prince is a very friendly young man, who is often found wagging his happy tail and bouncing around the shelter. Eagerly exploring his new surroundings is Prince’s favourite past time, he is curious and taking shelter life in his stride. Prince also loves to have human contact and with such an angelic face, he is very hard to resist! Even with his little legs, Prince still packs a punch with lots of energy to play the day away!
As Prince continues to grow and learn more each day, he will really benefit from some puppy training in his new home. With lots of yummy rewards on hand, learning some new tricks will be an excellent way to bond and help Prince settle with his new family. Prince gets along well with his doggy friends at the shelter so could suit a home with another friendly dog, but wherever there is lots of love and cuddles on offer we are sure Prince will be very content.
As he is still young, there is little Prince does not yet like! He has not been tested with children or cats so we will be watching how his puppy personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
Prince is bound to bring a heap of love and a tonne of adventure into his new home. We can’t wait to find this very deserving lad his very special new beginning!

Learning to explore
Loretta was brought to our partner shelter as a newly born puppy along with her mum and siblings Kenny, Maybelle and Emmylou. The family luckily escaped the harsh realities of life on the streets and are now playing, learning and growing in the care of our wonderful partner shelter. Loretta is ready and waiting for her forever home in the UK.
Loretta is a fantastic, happy soul who is taking the big wide world all in her stride! Having only recently graduated to a pen without their mum, Loretta and her siblings are keen to explore their new, exciting surroundings! Loretta can be found with her nose in the ground, scoping out all of the new smells and bravely requesting lots of cuddles from the shelter volunteers. Building in confidence everyday, we think Loretta is a very brave girl indeed!
Most days are very exciting for young pups like Loretta and she is mostly content when playing with her siblings or tracking down some tasty snacks! Plenty of treats in hand will be an excellent tool in those puppy training sessions and when helping Loretta settle into her new home. Already keen to meet the other dogs at the shelter, we think Loretta would suit a home with a resident dog to help lead the way!
Loretta has not been tested with cats or children so we will be watching how her puppy personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
We are certain that Loretta is willing to share all the puppy love that she has to give and we can’t wait to find this lovely girl her very own happy ending!

Curious little girl
Emmylou was brought into our partner shelter as a newly born puppy. Luckily escaping the fate of life on the streets, Emmylou was rescued along with her mum and siblings Kenny, Maybelle and Loretta. Since their arrival, the family have been getting used to shelter life and eagerly awaiting their time to fly the nest in search of their forever homes.
Emmylou is a sweet girl who charms everyone with her polite and gentle nature! Having just graduated to a new pen without her mum, Emmylou and her siblings are having fun bounding around and exploring as much as they can! Everything is still very new to the puppies but their curiosity and confidence is growing everyday.
Emmylou is often found clambering up on to the volunteers laps for plenty of cuddles and tumbling around playing with her siblings. Like all puppies, Emmylou will need some training in her new home but with plenty of yummy treats and lots of positive rewards, we are sure she will be a keen student!
Having been handled from a young age and spending time with the other dogs at the shelter, Emmylou is fairly confident with the shelter workers. She could suit a home with another dog to show her the ropes but lots of attention to herself would also be just fine!
She has not been tested with cats or children, so we will be watching how her puppy personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
This charming little girl is finally ready for a home where she can let off all of her puppy energy and snooze away the afternoons. We can’t wait to find Emmylou her happily ever after!

Loves to smile
Maybelle was bought along to our partner shelter with her mother and siblings Kenny, Emmylou and Loretta. Now safely in shelter care, the family thankfully escaped the faits of life on the streets and are now each one step closer to finding a forever home in the UK.
If ever there was an award for the biggest smile, Maybelle would certainly win first prize! Along with her charming smile and fluffy ears, Maybelle is a very sweet natured, happy pup. Although the world is still very new to the youngsters, Maybelle and her siblings have taken well to exploring the shelter. Spending most of their days playing with one another and bounding around on their big puppy paws – with this in mind, we think Maybelle is on her way to being a large adult and her bigger size must be considered by any interested adopters.
Like most puppies, Maybelle is full of fun and very food motivated! Plenty of tasty treats will be an excellent tool when helping Maybelle adjust to her new home and also when she is taking part in plenty of puppy training sessions. Maybelle likes the other dogs at the shelter and could suit a home with another resident dog. But, we are sure she wouldn’t mind all the love to herself either!
Maybelle has not been tested with cats or children so we will be watching how her puppy personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
Blossoming into a sweet young lady, we are sure Maybelle is going to slot in well to a family that is full of love, dedication, adventure and have a (big!) hole to fill!

Clever cuddly curious
Kenny was rescued as a newly born puppy along with his Mum and siblings Maybelle, Loretta, and Emmylou. Thankfully, our partner shelter were on hand to take the family in together. Here they have been growing, playing and learning whilst awaiting their forever homes in the UK.
Kenny has taken to exploring life in the shelter very well. Along with his siblings, Kenny has just recently graduated to a pen without his mum and whilst the outside world is very big and new, he is taking it all in his stride! Although there are lots of new things to explore, Kenny is often found asking for lots of cuddles and generously offers plenty of kisses to the volunteers!
Like most young pups, Kenny is a big fan of playing with his siblings and the other dogs at the shelter, sniffing around, and gobbling up lots of yummy snacks. As his confidence grows and with treats on hand, we can see Kenny blossoming into a keen student in lots of those puppy training sessions! Kenny has been handled from a young age and loves greeting people, whilst he is still coming out of his shell, he is proving to be a gentle and an affectionate boy.
Kenny has not been tested with children or cats, we will be watching how his puppy personality develops and assessing homes on a case by case basis.
We are sure Kenny is going to make his new home a very special place and we are looking forward to finding him a family that are just as full of love as he is.

A little princess
Ostria, along with her siblings were found in a rubbish bin. Having been abandoned in such awful circumstances and with little chance of being discovered, we are so pleased that Ostria is now safely awaiting her forever home at our partner shelter in Lesvos.
This lovely girl has grown up along side her very energetic brothers and tends to take the more relaxed role out of the siblings. She is quite happy ambling along at her own pace and prefers a more gentle approach to life. Ostria is a very sweet natured girl and she loves to take up residency on any empty laps that are not being hogged by her brothers! She is still keen to get involved at playtime but mostly a warm, cosy cuddle is Ostria’s happy place!
Ostria loves her snacks so she will certainly be keen to please for a tasty treat or two. Adopters who are willing to put the time into some puppy training and encouraging Ostria would be ideal. She also gets along well with cats and other dogs; although slightly bigger dogs can make her a little wary at first. Somewhere Ostria can relax at the end of the day within your arms, will be a welcomed safe haven for this little princess!
As Ostria has not yet been tested with children, we will be watching how she develops and reviewing applications on a case by case basis.
Please note, Ostria and her siblings will not be ready to travel until at least December. Due to current restrictions, it could also be likely that travel may not be possible until the new year. With this in mind, please do bear with us as we work through applications for those dogs that are travelling sooner. Thank you for your patience and rest assured – we will be in touch to discuss your interest in Ostria as soon as possible!

Brings the fun
In a small village, Maistro and his siblings were discovered in a bin. They had been discarded and treated as rubbish. It is a little miracle that they were found and each of them is now safely in our partner shelter, awaiting their new homes.
Maistro is keen to embrace all of the joy that life has to offer! He is most happy when he is doing near enough… anything! He will be first in line to try something new and loves playing with his brothers and sister as well as the other dogs at the shelter. A new toy, exciting smells or even just a regular stick are bound to keep Maistro content. His love of tasty treats will be extra helpful when he joins a family that are willing to commit to some regular puppy training – and we are pretty certain you will have an enthusiastic student on your hands!
To make sure he can continue his favourite hobbies of running and jumping around, Maistro would love an active family! A home with plenty to do and lots to sniff will make him even happier than he already is. He could suit a home with either a resident cat or dog – so long as they are tolerant of a big bundle of puppy energy!
Maistro is not yet tested with children – but we will be seeing how he develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
Please note, Maistro and his siblings will not be ready to travel until at least December. Due to current restrictions, it could also be likely that travel may not be possible until the new year. Cheerful chirpy chap
Sirocco and his siblings were shockingly retrieved from a rubbish bin in a small village in Lesvos. They had been thrown away with little hope of ever being found. It is a huge relief that they defied their odds and were discovered before it was too late. They are now residing in our partner shelter before embarking on a new journey to find their forever homes.
Sirocco is a happy little man and has taken shelter life in his stride. He is the most independent of his siblings and will happily sit and chew on a toy by himself – unless he is disturbed by Levante nibbling on his ear! A little unsure of meeting new people at first, Sirocco takes a bit more time get to know but once he is certain there are plenty of cuddles on offer, he makes a very cosy cuddle buddy! As Sirocco is a young pup, we are sure that a family who will encourage him on his way will no doubt bring out the best in him.
A perfect day for Sirocco will include lots of running and jumping! Rounded off with a few training sessions that will help him continue to learn about the world around him; a smart chap like Sirocco will surely be top of the class! He gets along well with cats and most dogs although can be a little nervous of the larger dogs at the shelter. Homes with a resident dog could be considered, to help Sirocco build up his confidence but he would also be just as content having all the fuss to himself!
He has not yet been tested with children so we will continue to watch how he develops and review applications on a case by case basis.
Please note, Sirocco and his siblings will not be ready to travel until at least December. Due to current restrictions, it could also be likely that travel may not be possible until the new year. Bundle of fun
In a small village in Lesvos, Levante and his siblings were sadly found in a bin – having been thrown away and treated as rubbish with little chance of being retrieved. We are so pleased they defied all odds and were discovered before it was too late. They each now await a new fate and we are looking forward to finding them a happy new home.
Levante is the litters chief explorer. He takes huge pride in running around and finding everything (and everyone) he can to play with! When Levante and his siblings came to the shelter, he was the first to scope out his surroundings – taking no time at all to introduce himself to his new shelter friends, dogs and cats included! Levante is also a huge sweetheart, regularly cosying up for a cuddle or two and making sure your face is extra clean by generously handing out some very sloppy kisses!
A dedicated leader of fun, you’ll mostly find Levante burning off all his energy by running around the shelter, trying out some new toys or playing with his siblings – mostly by nibbling at their noses, much to their disapproval! This happy little bundle of energy will love spending time with his new family and will be keen to take part in some puppy training – he is already proving to be a clever young man and activities that include a tasty snack will certainly keep his tummy happy!
Levante has not yet been tested with children. We will be watching how his puppy personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
Please note, Levante and his siblings will not be ready to travel until at least December. Due to current restrictions, it could also be likely that travel may not be possible until the new year. With this in mind, please do bear with us as we work through applications for those dogs that are travelling sooner. Thank you for your patience and rest assured – we will be in touch to discuss your interest in Levante as soon as possible!

Applications for Walnut are now closed due to unprecedented interest. If you have already sent in an application form, an adoption coordinator will reach out to anyone suitable in due course. Please allow up to 7 days for a response from our adoption team as we work through all applications and enquiries.
Walnut was born into a litter of 12 puppies, who are now honourably known as “The 12 pups of Christmas!” The siblings were abandoned without their mother on the streets of Bulgaria and were left to fend for themselves. Walnut and her brothers and sisters have all been very lucky to find themselves at our partner shelter, as it now means that they can each find their very own forever home!
Walnut is a very young pup, so her personality is still developing every day. Walnut is a happy go lucky girl, she is often found wagging her tail and in search of an empty lap where she can cuddle to her hearts content! Walnut loves to play and she is sure to keep her new adopters very busy with her bountiful energy! Walnut is still learning about her new surroundings everyday and is gradually taking in all that the big wide world has to offer.
As well as playing with her siblings all day long, Walnut has started to make lots of new friends and gets along well with the other dogs at the shelter. Walnut would love a very special family that can offer plenty of playtime, affection and of course, lots of puppy training too!
Walnut hasn’t had any socialisation with cats or children so we will be watching how her puppy personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
Please note, Walnut won’t be ready to travel to the UK until at least the end of January. As a result, you may not hear from us until the New Year, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Walnut as soon as possible!

Sweet as sugar!
Here we have the lovely Boo who was found abandoned, along with her five siblings by the side of the road near our partner shelter. The puppies were tiny and had very little chance of being discovered at all, let alone knowing how to fend for themselves at such a young age. It truly is a miracle that our partner shelter discovered the litter when they did. Thankfully, Boo is now in safe hands and she is finally ready to fly the nest to her new furever home!
Boo is a very curious girl and loves to sniff around for lots of exciting smells! Even though shelter life is all very new to Boo, she is inquisitive and taking it all in her stride. Boo can be a little nervous when she is picked up but with lots of gentle encouragement from the shelter volunteers, she is coming round to enjoying lots of cosy cuddles!
With her big bundle of puppy energy and Boo’s love of toys, we think she is going to love an active home where she can spend the day romping around before rounding it all off with a big snooze – if only to charge herself up for round two! She will be in need of some puppy training and with treats in hand, we are sure she will be happy to oblige.
Boo happily plays with the other puppies and older dogs at the shelter so she could suit a home with another resident dog. A play mate will be sure to keep her content! Boo is a gentle girl and with a welcoming home to call her own, she is bound to make her adopters as happy as can be.
Boo has not yet been tested with children or cats, we will be watching how her puppy personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
Please note, Boo won’t be ready to travel to the UK until towards the end of January 2021. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Boo as soon as possible!

Ready to learn
Frank was adopted from Bahrain earlier this year, but sadly, his owners have arrived at the decision that Frank needs a different home in order to thrive.
Frank is a really affectionate boy when he feels calm and settled, and loves nothing more than cuddling up and having a big old belly scratch. He loves to play tug-of-war and will eagerly fetch a ball when thrown.
Frank loves to chase but has excellent recall, and is much calmer off the lead which is why we are looking for a rural home for him. As well as his recall, Frank will sit, lie down and give his paw whenever asked; especially if there’s some tasty treats involved; what a clever pup! We believe Frank would make a great agility dog; an excellent way to keep him mentally stimulated.
Frank does unfortunately have a few areas where he struggles, so we are therefore looking for more experienced owners that can help Frank work through this. Strangers and noises scare Frank, leading him to become reactive towards them by barking or snarling. Initially he was barking at any foreign looking object as well as chasing cars but he has slowly shown improvements, becoming calmer in these situations.
Frank is fearful of dogs he does not know, and will bark and snarl at them when out walking on the lead. He has, however, made friends with another dog whilst at doggy training, and we think Frank may really benefit from another calm dog in the home to help with his anxieties and show him the ropes.
He has also shown some resource guarding behaviour, particularly towards men, who he is more fearful of. Most of Franks behavioural quirks are down to him being fearful and anxious. We believe with some time and patience, his confidence will build and he will be able to overcome these fears.
As Frank doesn’t cope well with strange noises or unknown situations, he would be best suited to an experienced home in a rural environment where his owner could work on these anxieties slowly, allowing him to blossom into the beautiful boy he is.
Frank originally came from Bahrain but is now living in the UK – visits can be arranged for serious adopters. Please note, the UK adoption fee will apply.

Meet sweet little Otus who was found abandoned, along with his five siblings by the side of the road near our partner shelter. The puppies were tiny and had very little chance of being found at all, let alone knowing how to fend for themselves at such a young age. It truly is a miracle that our partner shelter discovered the litter when they did. Thankfully Otus is now in safe hands and he is finally ready to fly the nest to his new furever home!
Otus is a calm and cuddly puppy. He spends his days at the shelter getting to know the other dogs, all of who he enjoys playing with. He also regularly charms volunteers with his big friendly eyes! Otus is a natural sweetheart and we believe he is bound to make a very special house a home – in return for plenty of affection!
Otus has already begun to understand some puppy manners and has quickly learnt to sit for treats – what a clever pup! With plenty of tasty snacks to hand, Otus will definitely be happy to oblige in some more puppy training or learning some new fancy tricks! We think Otus will be happy in a home with a resident dog or content soaking up all of the attention to himself, either way this friendly boy is sure to be everyone’s new best friend!
Otus has not yet been tested with cats or children, we will be watching how his puppy personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.

Meet the special Hawk who was found abandoned, along with his five siblings by the side of the road near our partner shelter. The puppies were tiny and had very little chance of being discovered at all, let alone knowing how to fend for themselves at such a young age. It truly is a miracle that our partner shelter discovered the litter when they did. Thankfully, Hawk is now in safe hands and he is finally ready to fly the nest to his new furever home!
Hawk loves nothing more than all things warm and cuddly! He is often found very close to the volunteers subtly asking to be picked up – Hawk has an eye for spotting empty arms that would be ideal for snuggling into! Like most puppies, Hawk is enjoying learning about his surroundings and taking in life at the shelter. He loves playing with everyone he meets, four legged friends and humans alike!
There is one thing Hawk is not so fond of and that is sharing his beloved food! It will be a priority for adopters to work through this when puppy training Hawk. This love of food will be an excellent tool when positively reminding Hawk about sharing and teaching him some new tricks! It would be best for Hawk to be in a home without young children and for him to be the only dog, so he can have all the fuss to himself! With plenty of positive guidance and lots of love along the way, we are sure Hawk is going to make an excellent addition to his special new home.
Hawk has not yet been tested with cats, we will be watching how his puppy personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.

Lively and learning
Introducing little Wallace who was found abandoned, along with his five siblings by the side of the road near our partner shelter. The puppies were tiny and had very little chance of being discovered at all, let alone knowing how to fend for themselves at such a young age. It truly is a miracle that our partner shelter discovered the litter when they did. Thankfully Wallace is now in safe hands and he is finally ready to fly the nest to his new furever home!
Wallace is a bundle of bountiful energy! He is often found charging around the shelter and playing with his siblings. Wallace loves nothing more than an exciting walk, so we think he would love adopters who are also keen explorers! Whilst Wallace is enthusiastic about many things, sometimes he can be nervous of being picked up and handled. The shelter are working on this and it’s improving with lots of positive encouragement and plenty of treats for good measure!
Generally, Wallace loves playing with the other puppies and the older dogs at the shelter but he has started to protect food from the other dogs. Adopters will need to be prepared to work on this as part of Wallace’s training and it is best that he is the only dog in his new home. With plenty of reassurance and lots of love on offer, we think Wallace is going to make a fantastic companion to some very lucky adopters!
Wallace has not yet been tested with children or cats, we will be watching how his puppy personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
Please note, Wallace won’t be ready to travel to the UK until towards the end of January 2021. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Wallace as soon as possible!

Quiet calm soul
Introducing special Rufus who was found abandoned, along with his five siblings by the side of the road near our partner shelter. The puppies were tiny and had very little chance of being discovered at all, let alone knowing how to fend for themselves at such a young age. It truly is a miracle that our partner shelter discovered the litter when they did. Thankfully, Rufus is now in safe hands and he is finally ready to fly the nest to his new furever home!
Rufus is a very sweet soul and is the most calm out of his siblings. He is just beginning to find his place in the big wide world. Rufus can be nervous and is a quite unsure when being handled or being picked up, so it may take some calm encouragement to entice Rufus in for a cuddle but once he is safe in your arms he will start to relax.
Rufus does have a playful side but wherever Rufus is and whatever he is doing, there is always somewhere else on his mind – his very cosy bed! If ever there is too much excitement amongst the other dogs at the shelter for Rufus, he will likely be found here, chilling out in his own space.
As Rufus enjoys the calmer side of life, we think he would be best suited to a quiet, rural home without any young children. He would also benefit from living with another, relaxed resident dog that can help show him the way. We think, that with lots of positive reinforcement and some very tasty treats to help him learn about the world around him, Rufus will continue to shine in his own very special way.
Rufus has not yet been tested with cats. We will be watching how his puppy personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis.
Please note, Rufus won’t be ready to travel to the UK until towards the end of January 2021. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Rufus as soon as possible!

Worlds best cuddles
Woody was brought to our partner shelter along with his sister, Alice. Together, the pair were found living on the streets and were picked up by the municipality pound workers. Woody has now thankfully escaped the harsh realities that life on the streets can entail and he is now looking forward to a finding his very special forever home in the UK.
If ever there was a dog that could make cuddling into a profession – Woody would certainly make the expert! We are sure Woody would love a home where he can relax the day away and snuggle into any open laps that can offer a tummy tickle or two! As much as Woody knows how to chill, we are sure he would also love plenty of adventurous walks and would be keen to learn some new tricks. With treats in hand and a scratch behind those fluffy ears for good work, Woody is very eager to please!
Woody gets along well with other dogs, so he could be suited to a home with resident dog but we are sure he wouldn’t mind the sofa space all to himself either! In line with his gentle nature, Woody also gets along fine with cats and tends to ignore them. We are hoping to find Woody a home where he can release his playful side and round off his busy day with a well earned snooze!
Woody has not been tested with children so we will watch how his personality develops and consider homes on a case by case basis.

Fun loving poser
Bambi and her siblings were born to a mum who was kept on a chain in someone’s garden. All of the siblings were extremely timid when rescued but, after a few short weeks, Bambi has come out of her shell and is building up her confidence and trust in people.
Bambi is now a very cuddly and loving dog to her shelter mum but takes a while to warm to new people. Once she knows you and is comfortable, she is a very playful and happy pup!
Bambi loves running around and being chased by her brother, Ivan. She gets on well with other dogs but can be a little protective over toys, treats and food. She is the protective big sister over Ivan and has a slightly more dominant personality.
Bambi doesn’t enjoy travelling in the car but with some gradual desensitisation we are sure this could be worked through.

Blossoming every day
Greco was born to a local’s dog and the local didn’t want the puppies. She gave them to a local foster carer that works closely with our partner shelter but some months later she returned with another puppy, Greco. We don’t know why she decided to keep Greco and then give him up but now Greco is ready to find his perfect forever home away from Greece.
Greco is likely to be have been completely isolated during his first few months of life so he is more timid and unsure of the world. He is naturally a nervous pup but once shown some love, he has a very friendly and loving personality. He comes out of his shell quickly with people that understand him and let him approach them at his own speed. His journey to confidence was helped a lot by Ivan, his foster buddy that he simply adored. Ivan is now settled in his forever home in the UK and we are determined to make sure Greco will follow in his footsteps, towards his very own place to call home
Considering his lonely beginning, it is natural that Greco has taken a little longer to trust the world around him. He is looking for a family that can be patient with his needs and spend time working with him to over come his understandable anxieties. He will take some time to open up to strangers but in a calm environment and with plenty of reassurance, Greco is proving braver each day.
As Greco is still figuring out his boundaries, he has shown some wariness to unknown dogs but he loves playing with the other dogs in his foster home and is protective and loyal to them. With gentle introductions Greco would benefit from a home with another friendly & confident resident dog, to help show him the ropes and encourage him on his journey.
As Greco is a nervous boy we will not be considering urban or city lifestyles. Greco would be best suited to at least a semi-rural home where there won’t be any triggering noises and so he can relax in a calmer environment. One of Greco’s favourite hobbies is enjoying a splash about in the waves, so any homes where Greco can have a dip on a daily walk would be an added bonus for this enthusiastic swimmer!
Greco is making progress in his foster home each day and he has been socialised with lots of different people, children included. He still sometimes struggles with loud voices and any abrupt movement that catches him off guard. With this in mind, we won’t be considering homes with young children but those with older, dog savvy teenagers is considerable.
Greco is slowly but surely continuing on his journey to understanding the world can be a kind place. With a family determined to offer him the security he so desperately deserves, we know he will make a very loyal companion.

A little misunderstood
Dessy was previously owned by a young couple with very young kids who lived in the local village. Dessy was originally cared for but the relationship broke down and Dessy found herself alone and chained outside of a foster carers cafe in Lesvos. We are unsure what Dessy has had to endure in her previous life but the whole turn of events has obviously affected Dessy. She originally showed a fear based reactivity towards anyone that tried to get close to her but through a lot of patience and time, our foster carer in Lesvos managed to win her trust and introduced Dessy to another foster carer who could give her the undivided love and attention she needs to start trusting people. It took her current foster carer many days to even be able to get near Dessy as she showed the same fear based reactivity, and likely will towards any new people and strangers. Through giving her the time she needs, Dessy eventually came around and now loves her foster but still struggles to bond with new people.
Dessy is ready to find her forever home in the UK but she will need an experienced owner with previous experience of fear based reactivity & nervous dogs as she is likely to regress temporarily again and be reluctant with new adopters. Once she builds trust, she is 110% devoted to her family, so much so that she can be a little territorial and protective of them.
Dessy is extremely intelligent and benefits from a strict routine. Once she knows you she is cuddly, affectionate and follows you everywhere! She also loves to indulge in a treat – this is the real way to her heart!
Dessy can be jealous around other dogs and she generally prefers to have all the attention to herself! She would prefer to be the only dog in the household, or be around a relaxed and submissive resident dog that will let her be top dog!
Although Dessy was originally living with young children, she has been through a lot since and her fear of sudden movements, loud noises & strangers makes her unsuitable for living with young children now. Dessy would prefer a home with adults only, or at least teenage children who are dog savvy.
Dessy was treated for erlichia, a tick borne disease, when she was first rescued and is now back to full health. She isn’t the biggest fan of the vets!
Please note that Dessy will not be ready for adoption / ready to travel yet so any adoption applications will not be prioritised for a few weeks.

Loves cream cheese
Miloux has been a stray dog in the village of Skala Kydonion in Lesvos her whole life. The locals were taking care of her and they got her spayed. One particular lady made her porch a comfy space for Miloux to sleep every night and Miloux would join the lady and her own dog for walks. The locals simply couldn’t bear for Miloux to spend the rest of her life on the streets so they sought help from local rescuers and that is where our partner shelter comes in! Now Miloux is in safety at our shelter and awaiting her forever home at last.
Miloux is a pocket-sized pup with a gentle soul. Miloux’s favourite thing is treats – lots of them (except dry food – she doesn’t like that!) She’ll do anything for a tasty morsel of cream cheese! She loves exploring, wandering around having a good sniff.
She enjoys playing with small dogs (her own size!) but can feel intimidated around bigger dogs and is picky about her friends. She prefers gentle play, on her terms and could not be rehomed with a puppy or another young, high energy dog. Any resident dog would need to be older / calm-natured and well mannered.
Having spent her whole life independently, Miloux has learned to fend her herself. She will need an adopter who is experienced with nervous dogs, or is prepared for the patience needed with nervous dogs, to help her build up trust with people. Miloux needs time and lots of yummy treats to learn to love people. She prefers all four feet on the ground and doesn’t like being picked up but loves having a tummy rub from you once she knows you!
Please note that Miloux will not be ready for adoption / ready to travel until at least end of July so any adoption applications will not be prioritised for a few weeks yet.

Paving the way
Dawn is our first dog to be rescued out of South Korea, after escaping a dog meat farm earlier this year. She’s currently in foster care, in South Korea, until she travels to the UK in November.
Despite all she’s been through, Dawn has a goofy, playful character. She relies heavily on other dogs to lead the way and show her that humans can be trusted. She’s recently been initiating playtime with the other dogs, showing real growth in confidence.
Sadly, she’s had little training in how to behave with other dogs and can get overly excitable. It’s likely that on the farm, her default was to run away. Now rescued, she’s learning all the appropriate behaviours and etiquette that go with living in a home with other dogs.
As such, we’ll be looking at applications on a case by case basis to see whether Dawn could live with another dog.
Due to her time on the meat farm, Dawn has some nervousness of people and loud noises, and tends to be more fearful at night. As such, she’s looking for a quiet, rural home with limited comings and goings, at least until Dawn has settled in and learned to trust her new family.
Dawn is also fearful of pressure around her neck or getting caught up in her lead, likely because the farm used a noose when capturing and moving dogs. It is recommended that Dawn wears a harness whilst on walks and will need prolonged, positive-reinforcement based training to help her grow accustomed to her lead.
Medically, Dawn has some spinal fusing, which she has received pain medication for in the past. This is due to spending long periods of time crouched over in tiny cages. It’s possible she will need further treatment in the future but, in the meantime, veterinary advice recommends low-level activity, loose-lead walking and gentle play with other dogs.
Please note that as this is a particularly special case, we are looking for a foster home in the first instance with the view to adopt at a later date.
Dawn is just 1 of several dogs we’re rescuing from the South Korean dog meat trade. We’ll be sharing more updates in the coming weeks, which will be communicated through our South Korea project page and via socials.

Still very happy!
Suki was found abandoned in a junkyard in Askar, Bahrain, along with Sampson and Sadie. He had found refuge in an old tyre alongside Sampson, in an attempt to escape the scorching heat of the sun. He was extremely nervous and had zero trust in humans, so rescuing him was a real challenge. But the moment he knew he was safe and was with people who cared about him, his demeanour completely transformed. He started to seek attention from his rescuers by resting his head in their laps, finally being shown love, perhaps for the first time.
As you can see from photos and videos, all three of these Salukis show signs of unimaginable cruelty and neglect. Some of their legs are not properly formed and are shockingly bowed; the result of the unrelenting sport of dog racing, which is popular in Bahrain. Sighthound type breeds are often injected with human steroids in order to make them ‘perform better’ when racing. When this illegal practice goes wrong, leaving the dogs permanently damaged and no longer ‘valuable’, people merely toss them aside to fend for themselves, dumping them with not a care as to what happens to them next.
Local Saluki rescuers and veterinary experts in Bahrain have advised that surgery isn’t needed when the legs aren’t too disjointed. Luckily Suki & Sadie’s legs are not too damaged. Suki should be able to live a happy and comfortable life with a slight change to diet – this usually involves a reduction in protein and an increase in vitamin C taken. It is likely that Suki will suffer some arthritis in the future.
As you will see from the videos, Suki is extremely mobile – he still loves chasing around with his friends and his leg structure doesn’t affect this at all! Much like Sadie, Suki enjoys the freedom to run around on big, open green spaces.
Suki is very gentle-natured, affectionate and he loves to be the centre of attention. Now that he has learned to trust humans, he is extremely sociable and also loves making new friends of the canine variety! Suki will always greet you with tail wags and happy little chirps, even if you’ve only been gone a few minutes. He really enjoys playing and will often instigate playtime by bringing you a toy.
As with all our rescues, we’re committed to ensuring that these Salukis have a happy and healthy life. If you’re interested in adopting and would like more information about Sampson’s dietary and veterinary needs, we would be happy to talk to you. His disability does not cause him discomfort, and he plays and walks as happily as any other dog. We’re hoping that he’ll find a forever home where he can thrive, and finally live life to the fullest!
As this is a particularly special case, we are prepared to consider either an adoptive or foster home that think they could offer a good life and special care for this boy.
Suki was rescued in Bahrain but is now living in foster in Wales – visits can be arranged for serious adopters. Please note that the UK adoption fee will apply.

Introducing the wonderful Sydney! When Sydney was found, he was at the side of the road in Beirut. It is a huge relief that he was rescued and taken to safety when he was, as now he has the chance to find his very own happily ever after. Having already made his long journey to the UK, Sydney is relishing in home comforts with a foster family in the Sussex area and visits for serious adopters can be arranged. Please note that the adoption fee for Sydney will be £850.
The journey to the UK for a rescue dog certainly represents a positive change to their life and Sydney is a shining example of a dog that has taken every step in his stride. Sydney is a big ball of fun loving energy and he has bounded into his foster home with confidence and a real eagerness to please his carers.
Settling into a new routine and a domestic setting can be a big ask for a rescue dog who has known nothing of the kind before, but Sydney has taken up the challenge of street dog to sofa snoozer without any complaints! His favourite way to spend the day is to find a very cosy spot to nap for as long as possible, before heading off on a walk with his humans – he is even happy to get in the car for an extra special adventure! Sydney is taking routine in his stride and is having no issues sleeping through the night as well as being house trained.
From day one, Sydney has shown instant affection to his foster family and will do anything to make sure that they are cuddling him at every given opportunity! He is generally very laid back during the day and only expects that if you are sat down, he is right there next to you! With so much love on offer and as he is such a family man at heart, Sydney could struggle to be left alone for long periods of time. It would be best if he was adopted into a family who have a flexible routine and can be mindful of Sydney’s sensitivity in this area.
With so much to love about the world, Sydney has plenty of enthusiasm for most things in life! He is a big dog and regardless of his age, has a puppy like energy. When something really excites Sydney, he can get a little carried away and he has been known to destroy a few of his toys in his eagerness! Despite this, he doesn’t show any other kind of destructive behaviours in the home and will happily play without resource guarding his beloved toys – his very favourite is a puzzle feeder, working for extra snacks keeps his mind busy and tummy very happy! Sydney is bound to be a wonderful family member but considering his size and energy, it is best he is placed in a home with older children.
Sydney is already picking up basic commands in his foster home. He knows how to sit and is at the start of his recall journey. This will need to be continued thoroughly in his new home, as Sydney does have a strong prey drive and with his adoration for food, he does like to sniff out anything he can find! Sydney will also need to work on some lead manners, as in his eagerness to get to the next exciting adventure, he can be a strong puller! But, he is already showing signs of overcoming this and considering he loves to please his humans, his training is already going very well.
Sydney is a very trusting soul and is welcoming to all who he meets, four legged friends and humans alike! He could be adopted to a home with a resident dog but we think he will also be just fine as an only dog and part of a family that have as much love to give as he does.

Sweet loving Sasspot
Say hello to our sweet Cinnamon, who is currently enjoying life her foster home in the UK. She was originally found as a stray and was fortunately brought to our partner shelter in Greece who cared for her until she was lucky enough to get a spot on a transport run to the UK just before Christmas.
Life in the shelter was a little much for this precious girl, however since in foster she has really begun to shine. Cinnamon is the ultimate cuddle monster, and would happily snuggle up to you 24 hours a day if she was allowed. She’s a sassy girl and will be sure to let you know she wasn’t ready for you to stop belly rubs, with a gentle nudge for more. Cinnamon is still learning the rules of the house but is nearly fully housetrained, something that will need continued training once she finds her forever home.
Whilst sofa snoozing is her number one, playing with her foster siblings isn’t far behind. Cinnamon is currently living with 2 other dogs and absolutely loves their company. It is clear she uses dogs to guide her, so we are looking for a home with another confident dog, who will show her the ropes. She’s very happy to adjust her energy to the other dogs needs, but would certainly like a play mate who is happy for some rough and tumble throughout the day.
Another of Cinnamons loves is her walks. She does a little happy dance when she knows it’s time to venture out, and loves to tare around with her siblings. She needs some more on lead training, but has learnt to recall to her name, especially if there is a high reward (chicken) to come back to, however she will need consistent training in this before prospective adopters can let her off lead themselves. She can become a little overwhelmed in larger groups of dogs in the park, with whom she is unfamiliar with and may bark but just needs some reassurance & further training in these situations.
Out of the house she doesn’t mind street noise or passing vehicles and is happy to cross busy roads taking her foster siblings lead, however she becomes fearful of raised voices, such as screaming children in the park or shouting on the TV and will try and hide when she hears this. Therefore, we will only be considering calm homes, with older, dog savvy children, where we know Cinnamon will feel safe and secure.
Cinnamon will make a gentle, loving companion to her forever family and a great playmate to her future siblings and we can’t wait to find her the perfect home to finally settle into.
Cinnamon originally came from Greece but is now living in South East UK– visits can be arranged for serious adopters. Please note, the UK adoption fee will apply.
