Applications for Gracie are now closed due to unprecedented interest. If you have already sent in an application form, an adoption coordinator will reach out to suitable adopters in due course. Please allow up to 7 days for a response from our adoption team as we work through all applications and enquiries.

Here we have the very wonderful Gracie, who was brought to the shelter by the municipality pound. Now spending her days safely at our partner shelter means that Gracie is a very lucky girl, as she is now one step closer to finding her forever home in the UK!

Gracie is a very special girl who is full of joy and energy. Gracie has a very friendly soul and loves nothing more than bouncing around the shelter in search of her next play mate! She is more than happy to spend all day in the company of the other dogs at the shelter but will also be just as content where there are plenty of tummy rubs to be had from shelter volunteers. A little cheeky and full of love, we think Gracie is going to adore having humans of her own who she can play with all day and cuddle up to at night.

As she is such a bright spark, it will be hard to resist teaching Gracie a fancy trick or two! She is already learning how to walk on a lead and is showing real confidence when responding to commands. We think with extra delicious treats in hand and plenty of affection for reward, Gracie is going to be an excellent learner once in her new home.

It is likely Gracie was poorly looked after before she came to our partner shelter so her coat has suffered from matting. Despite looking sunny in Gracie’s photos, Greece suffer from some very harsh winters and for this reason Gracie cannot be clipped as it’s far too cold. Gracie will really benefit from the luxury of regular grooming in her new home and will soon be on the way to looking picture perfect with some adopters who are ready to show her some TLC.

Gracie is showing enthusiasm for most things and people that she meets. However, to our knowledge Gracie hasn’t had socialisation with children so we’ll be watching how her personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis. She has been introduced to cats and at the moment, is not showing too much interest. With slow and gradual introductions homes with confident and dog-savvy cats could be considered.

Please note, Gracie can’t travel until at least February. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Gracie as soon as possible!
