Cotton and his siblings were found in an abandoned house with their mother, not long after she had given birth. Thankfully the owner of our partner shelter in Romania took the family in to the warmth and helped nurture the very young pups. The siblings have been cared for at a foster home and are now eager to find their perfect forever homes in the UK.

Like most young pups, Cotton is gradually getting used to all of the new sights and sounds that the big wide world has in store! He absolutely loves play time and chewing on his favourite toys but nothing will ever come before his love of food! Cotton is always first on the scene wherever there is something to gobble up and would happily eat all day if he could – this shows as he is the largest of the litter! He was also born without a tail, but this certainly doesn’t affect him, he’s a very happy boy but just looks a little more unique!

Cotton will need plenty of training in his new home, to help him with his puppy manners and when building his confidence in his new surroundings. He is also not used to busy environments, as he is currently in a foster home in a very rural part of Romania. As such, we will only be considering homes in at least semi rural areas. We are sure that with adopters who can offer him plenty of positive encouragement and a heap of love, he will build in confidence more each day.

Cotton has had some socialisation with dogs and wasn’t fearful, but could be a little unsure/wary of dogs that are much bigger than him. His response was to bark at them! With this in mind, adopters will need to be prepared for training him to build his confidence towards strange dogs. We could consider homes with friendly and confident resident dogs, who can offer him a little guidance if he feels nervous, and we are sure he would make an excellent play mate to his new doggy sibling!

Cotton has not yet had any socialisation with cats, we will be watching how his personality develops and considering homes on a case by case basis. Cotton could be suited to a family with older, dog savvy children.

Please note, Cotton won’t be able to travel until at least mid March. As a result, it may take us longer to reply to applications, as we need to prioritise those arriving sooner – thank you for your patience, and rest assured we’ll be in touch to discuss your interest in Cotton as soon as possible!
